Cheap Trick & Aerosmith Concert!
Last night we went to see Cheap Trick and Aerosmith. I can tell you this was one awesome rocking concert. I really enjoyed this concert more than the one we went to see Wednesday night.
The night started out with Cheap Trick taking the stage. Everyone got up on their feet for the first two songs. Then I could not believe it everyone sat down to watch the concert. That was really different for me at a concert. All the concerts I have been to you would stand to watch. Then for the last song everyone stood for the last song.
Here is the setlist for the concert:
1) Clock Strikes Ten
2) Elo Kiddies
3) California Man
4) Ain't That A Shame
5) Sick Man Of Europe
6) Baby Loves To Rock
7) Need Your Love
8) I Know What I Want
9) Surrender
10) The Flame
11) I Want You To Want Me
12) Dream Police
13) Goodnight
This was an awesome set of songs that they played last night. There was a couple of songs I have never heard by them. I really like them too.
I know they had a smaller stage to perform on because of Aerosmiths equipment on there too. But one thing is the lead singer could have moved around more so the people in the seats on the side of the stage to see them more. Most of the time he was standing in the center of the stage. That was the only thing that was wrong for me.
The music was so awesome. The last song was "Goodnight" and Rick Nielsen came out with a five neck guitar. I never seen one like that and it was so awesome to see a guitar like that. My mouth probably dropped and I probably went bug eyed. The crowd was going crazy when he came out with that guitar.
Then after that song they introduced all the band members and said goodbye.
At intermission it was crazy long lines all over even the restrooms. I made it back to my seat just in time for the first song.
Yes it is time for Aerosmith to take the stage. I was waiting all night for this one and it was time. Everyone was on their feet screaming when Aerosmith took the stage.
I just can't believe how much energy Steven Tyler still has on the stage. He can not stand still when he is singing, he is all over the stage. There was a cat walk for him to walk down, he was back and forth on that.
Then as I was watching the show it is like Steven Tyler and Joe Perry are connected at the hip most of the time.
The song choices are awesome here it the list:
1) Draw The Line
2) Love In An Elevator
3) Oh Yeah
4) Livin' On The Edge
5) Jaded
6) S.O.S. (Too Bad)
7) Last Child
8) Drum Solo
9) Lord Of The Thighs
10) Boogie Man
11) Combination
12) What It Takes
13) No More No More
14) Legendary Child
15) Sweet Emotion
16) Mother Popcorn
17) Walk This Way
Encore
18) Dream On
19) Train Kept A-Rollin
It was one rockin, wild and crazy concert last night. Each of the band members had solo's it was Brad Whitford had a solo introducing "Last Child", Joey Kramer had his drum solo,Steven Tyler came to bang on the drums with him and then Joey was hitting the drums with his hands and his head, Joe Perry had his solo introducing "Boogie Men" and Tom Hamilton had his solo introducing "Sweet Emotion". All of these solo's were just so awesome. I could not believe it.
Steven had a bandana on and then during Oh Yea he throws it into the audience.
There was one song I was hoping that they would play "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" but they never did play that one. That is all right, I enjoyed every song on the list. That is one of my favorites by them. I can tell you one thing I didn't miss one bit of the concert and I enjoyed every bit of it.
With the lights, music, Steven singing and the energy the whole band has makes you keep wanting more and the night never to end.
For the encore they brought a piano out on the cat walk for Steven to play with Dream On. The next thing you see is Joe Perry climbing on top of it playing his guitar. Then after the song Steven climbs up on top of the piano for Train Kept A-Rollin.
I can tell you this is one band I would go and see again. If they come to your city don't miss this concert it will be one to put in the books of a great concert.
Here is a song I found from the concert last night and I hope you enjoy reading this!♥

Alice Cooper and Iron Maiden at Summerfest!
This was one very hot and humid day for a concert. It was 102 degrees outside and we were by Lake Michigan for the concert and we had very little breeze out there. The nice thing was we were able to bring in an unopened bottle of water with us.
This year Drew and I decided to take the shuttle bus from are area to Summerfest. I was so glad the bus was air conditioned. It was nice not to have to drive down there and deal with all the traffic. I was just watching out the window on the way there.
There was two shows that night. The first one was Alice Cooper and the show was so awesome. I used to have all of his albums. The curtain dropped and the band came out Alice Cooper came out on a pedestal singing Black Widow in a spider costume. He really knows how to make an entrance! To this day, He really knows how to get the audience going. Here is the setlists to the concert:
1) Black Widow
2) Brutal Planet
3) I'm Eighteen
4) No More Mr. Nice Guy
5) Hey Stupid
6) Guitar Solo ( This was really awesome by a 27 year old girl)
7) Billion Dollar Babies
8) Feed My Frankenstein
9) Poison
10) Wicked Young Man
11) I Love The Dead
12) School's Out
Yes, one awesome setlist of songs he sang. He did bring out the snake for No More Mr. Nice Guy. Then for Feed My Frankenstein he had a twenty foot robot Frankenstein looking like him come out. When he was singing School's Out confetti and big balloons were coming down that was the last song. I was really enjoying listening to him and watching the show. This was one awesome show and it was the first time I seen him in concert. If he came back here I would go and see him again.
The second show was Iron Maiden. It was a good show and great music. I know some of the songs from Drew playing the cd's. But this band I really don't care for and I just can't place the reason why I don't. They really know how to get the crowd going also. I just could not believe it.
Here is the setlist for the show:
1) Moonchild
2) Can I Play With Madness
3) The Prisoner
4) 2 Minutes to Midnight
5) Afraid to Shoot Strangers
6) The Trooper
7) The Number of the Beast
8) Phantom of the Opera
9) Run to the Hills
10) Wasted Years
11) Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
12) The Clairvoyant
13) Fear of the Dark
14) Iron Maiden
15) Aces High
16) The Evil That Men Do
17) Running Free
Yes a long set of songs for the second show. I have to admit it was a great show and Drew said that is was a mixture of old and new music.
They said that they could only use two thirds of the stage set up. The stage set up, fire techno and the lighting was so awesome I couldn't believe it. We didn't need to see any fireworks that night we had it all on the stage. The lead singer had so much energy running all over on the stage I was trying to figure out how he could keep going like that.
During Run To The Hills they brought out a twenty foot robot called Eddie. This was really awesome watching him walk around the stage. The crowd was going crazy when he came out on stage.
Around the inside of the stage they had pictures going around similar to the cover of the Seventh Son album. That was really different to see.
This was during the Iron Maiden song. I just wanted you to see the stage set up and see the top of it where the lead singer was running around.
What really amazed me was all the real young kids there that were more than half of our age. We had the kids on each side of us. They were getting into the music so much with head banging, swinging the arms and singing all the songs to both shows. I just could not believe it.
We did meet up with friends of ours and they did go to the show. We just had different seats but did meet up with them between the show and after the show. It was so great to see them again. We haven't seen each other for a couple of years.
I hope you enjoy reading this and feel free to leave any comments. I will be in touch with our next concert on Saturday and I can not wait for that one!♥

A Revue on the Bee Gees!
Yes I decided to do a revue on the Bee Gees this time. I did listen to their music a lot and I had most of their albums. I really like the music, it was like soothing music for me not like at the time the hard rock.
The Gibb brothers are Barry born 1946 he played the guitar and did vocals, then the twins Robin born 1949 he did only vocals and Maurice born 1949 he played keyboard and did vocals. They did have a younger brother Andy born 1958 and passed away in 1988. Andy had a solo career of singing.
From 1958 - 2003 they sang as a group. Then from 2009 - 2012 they were active with writing music and solo careers.
They lived in Manchester England for a few years then they moved to Redcliffe, Queesland Australia. In Australia is when they got their music career started. The record label that they started out with was Festival Records. This was with only a couple of songs then they went to Leedon Records with the Bee Gee name in 1963. While with this record company they had a pop act the hit voice on the albums was Robin's voice.
Then in 1966 the band was on the verge of being dropped from the record company they met Nat Kipner. Nat is a songwriter and producer for Spin Records. Nat made a deal with Leedon Records to put the Bee Gees on his label.
Then in 1967 they auditioned for Polydor Records and signed a five year contract with them. Polydor Records would be the label in the United Kingdom and ATCO would be the distributor on the United States. With this label the Bee Gees have a pop act for their music. In the last 1960's - early 1970's it was Robin's voice with the hits for early music.
The late 1970's that was the prominent time for them to change to the disco music. Then at this time for this type of music it was Barry's voice that was the hit for the music from the late 1970's - the 1980's. In 1978 they co-starred with Peter Frampton in the movie Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band. In 1979 the brothers decided to put all royalties for the song "Too Much Heaven" into a charity called UNICEF. From 1979 - 2007 the royalties totaled more than $11 million dollars. Then the summer of 1979 they did a concert tour called "Spirits Having Flown" tour. They sold out over 38 concerts between the U.S. and Canada.
In the 1980's they would write songs for other singers. Barry was working on a album with Barbara Streisand. The album is called Guilty and they do have a couple of duets on the album. In 1983 they wrote the song "Island In The Stream" for Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. This I never knew about. I really like this song very much. They also wrote songs for Dionne Warwick.
1990 they had a boxset come out called "Tales From The Brother Gibbs: A History In Songs" This boxset has rare B-Side, Unreleased tracks and some live music. In 1997 the brother were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by none other than Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. That was an honor in itself to have Brian Wilson induct you.
The biggest tragedy struck the brothers that was Maurice having a heart attack Jan. 12th, 2003. The sad thing is he passed away that day from the heart attack. After that Barry and Robin decided to retire the Bee Gee name because it was meant for the three brothers. On Feb. 23,2003 the Bee Gees received a Grammy Legend Award the people to except the award are Barry, Robin and Maurice's son Adam. In 2004 Robin was touring his solo career in Germany, Russia and Asia. Barry was writing songs for Barbara Striesand's new album.
In Feb. 2006 Barry and Robin reunited for a charity concert in Miami. It was for the Diabetes Research Institute. This was the first public performance since the death of brother Maurice. Then celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Bee Gees they made an appearance on Dancing with the Stars Nov. 17, 2009. In Oct. 2010 Robin announced that there will be a Bee Gee movie coming out. It will be their life journey with their music. Steven Speilberg will be producing and directing the movie. They also made an appearance on American Idol Season 9 Finale show. They sang "How Deep Is Your Love". If I am right this is the last time that they sang together.
This is another tragedy for the brothers. Robin found out he had liver cancer Nov. 20, 2011. He had to cancel some shows because of the pain and he was losing weight too. On April 14th, 2012 Robin was in the hospital with Pneumonia and went into a coma. He came out of the coma six days later and then he passed away on May 20th, 2012. Rest in Peace Robin we will miss you.
The only living brother is Barry. We know how much he will miss his brothers.
The Bee Gees sold over 200 million records Worldwide.
I found this video and I thought it would be the perfect one. It is the two brothers together and I just think this is an awesome way to close out this post. Please feel free to leave any comments!♥

R.I.P. Dick Clark!
Yes yesterday we have lost a very special icon Dick Clark. Born November 30, 1929 and he passed away April 18, 2012. He was 82 years old when he passed away.
He is remembered best for American Bandstand. On this show he has helped so many singers get recognized. It help Tina Turner, Jackson 5, Stevie Wonder, Jerry Lee Lewis, Beatles, Beach Boys and Chuck Berry.
Dick Clark is the person most responsible for the bonfire spread of Rock 'N' Roll across America. He said I play records the kids danced and America watched. That is the truth I remember watching his show when I was younger. I loved watching it and hearing the new people coming out with music.
In 2010 he was listed in the Guiness Book of World Records for having the longest running t.v. show.
Here are some other t.v. shows he was the host of T.V's Blooper & Practical Jokes, The Pyramid and Jeopardy. I remember these shows because my parents always watched them.
The one thing I always remembered was listening to him do the Top 40 countdown on Saturday mornings. I would never miss this because I liked to hear what singers and songs would be on the top of the charts.
In 1972 he started the New Year's Rock 'N' Eve Show. I love to watch this with him hosting it. He always had music on there and he would have a countdown for each time zone. There was only two times he was not on the show first was 2000 and then when he had his stroke in 2004. Then from 2005-2011 he had a co-host Ryan Seacrest from American Idol. His speech was improving through the years. I am sorry to say this but nobody can ever replace Dick Clark on the Rock 'N' Eve show. He is the only one in my book that can make this show what it has always been a very special day for everyone.
In 2004 he announced he had type 2 diabetes, then in late 2004 he has a stroke and in 2012 he had a medical procedure after that he had a heart attack and passed away.
I know he is going to be missed by millions of people. This man has touched my heart with everything he has done for the music industry. To me he is the music industry the way he has helped so many singers get there start. I will miss him greatly and my prayers are with his family.
WE MISS YOU DICK CLARK AND REST IN PEACE WE LOVE YOU!♥

My Revue on Heart Presents A Lovemongers' Christmas Album!
Yes I know I have not done an album revue in a very long time. I am sorry about that it is I just have been so busy with work, family and the Christmas Holiday.
The past couple of weeks I have been making my Christmas cookies and listening to different Christmas music. This is why I am choosing this album to write about.
My boyfriend had told me that this is one Christmas album that he really likes. So I decided to listen to it. This is a really good album and if you like Heart this is one to get. The music on here is so awesome and the songs are really different. This is not your regular traditional music like all the other Christmas album's out there. When I listened to it for the first time I kept an open mind about it and I just love this album.
Here are my thoughts about each song on the album-
Here Is Christmas- The music on here is so awesome. I just love the story this song tells you about the song.
Balulalow- This is a great song and it sounds like they have a choir singing with them.
Christmas Waits- This is a really good song. I do like this one.
William and Rose- This is a sad but good song. I really like this song it is like they are singing about a true story in this song.
Ave Maria- I like the guitar in this song. This song is alright not my favorite on the album.
How Beautiful- This song is really good. I do like this song a lot.
The Last Noel- The person singing this song on here is Frank Fox. But it is a great song I really like this song.
It's Christmas Time- This is a great song and I really like the music on this song.
Oh Holy Night- Yes this song is a traditional song. But her voice on here is so great and just catches you so much. The music is great on this song too.
Bring a Torch- The beginning with the music I just love it. There is no lyrics to this song it is all music and it is great.
This is a mellow Christmas album but it is just so awesome. I can listen to this one over and over. If you like Heart this is a Christmas album for you collection. Yes I am leaving you with one video of a song that I really like off the album! I hope everyone has a safe and Merry Christmas!♥

My Revue on Bob Seger!
Yes it has been a very long time since I did a revue on a singer. Yes I have been doing albums but not about them. So I decided to do one on Bob Seger. I like his music very much.

My Revue on Aerosmith!
Last night I was sitting here thinking what I was going to write about today. Then I thought I have not written about a band for awhile. So I thought I would write about Aerosmith.
The band is from Boston. The type of music they play is Hard Rock, Blues Rock and Heavy Metal. The Band Members are- Joe Perry Guitar, Tom Hamilton Bass, Steven Tyler Lead Vocals, Joey Kramer Drums and Brad Whitford Guitar.
1964 Steven Tyler had his own band called "Strangeus" later they changed the name to "Chain Reaction". Joe Perry and Brad Hamilton had a "Jam Band". Joe and Brad moved to Boston and met up with Joey Kramer the drummer.
In 1970 "Chain Reaction and the Jam Band" played the same gig. Steven immediately loved the Jam Band's sound. In October they met up again and considered a proposition to combine the two bands. But Steven did not want to play drums anymore he wanted to be lead vocals. They agreed on that. The only other thing was they had no name for the band then. The was they got the name was Joey Kramer wrote the word Aerosmith all over his notebook in high school.
In 1972 the band signed a record deal with Columbia Records for $125,000 and released there debut album in 1973 called Aerosmith. This album sold over two million copies and certified double platinum. They also had a string of multi platinum album 1974 Get Your Wings On, 1975 Toys In The Attic and in 1976 Rocks.
In 1975 "Toys In The Attic" sold over eight million copies. This was the bands best selling album with "Sweet Emotion" became the bands first top 40 hit. In 1976 the band released " Rocks" and this album captured the bands raw rock talent. It went platinum quick with " Last Child" and " Back In The Saddle". This album sold over four million copies. Then in 1979 and 1981 Joe Perry and Brad Whitford left the band and replaced by Jimmy Crespo and Rick Dufay. They are competing with Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones.
In 1984 Joe and Brad came back to the band. In 1985 the band signed a record deal with Geffen Records. The album "Done With Mirrors" in 1985 did not do so good. The whole band had a bad drug problem. 1986 Steven Tyler had to go into drug rehabilitation program. This was at he direction of the band members and the manager Tim Collins. The rest of the band members wet to drub rehab also for the next couple of years. This said he could make the band the biggest band by 1990 if they completed drug rehab. In 1987 they released " Permanent Vacation was there best selling album and three singles hitting the top ten, 1989 " Pump" had three top ten singels and sold over seven million copies, 1993 " Get A Grip" and 1997 " Nine Lives". They finally had a great come back with these albums. The Pump Tour went into most of 1990.
In 1992 the band took a brief break before recording the next album. In 1993 " Get a Grip" was a real success becoming their first debut album going to number one. It sold over seven million copies with in two years.
In 2001 the band performed for Superbowl XXXV with 'N Sync, Britney Spears, Mary J Blige and Nelly. All the stars collaborated with Aerosmith to end the show with " Walk This Way". In 2002 Covered the theme from Spiderman for the soundtrack. In 2003 The band co-head lined with KISS on the Rocksimus Maximus Tour. In 2005the band planned to tour with Cheap Trick in the Spring. On March 22, 2006 it was announced that Steven Tyler had to undergo throat surgery. We are very thankful it was a success.
In 2010 Steven Tyler told the band that he could handle the tour dates and also be a judge on American Idol. He was great on that show. He knows when to be funny and when to be serious. He made me laugh every night the show was on. I just hope he is back on the show next season.
Current Members of the band-
Steven Tyler- Lead Vocals
Joe Perry- Lead Guitar, Six String Bass, Lead Vocals and Backing Vocals
Brad Whitford- Rythm Guitar and Lead Guitar
Tom Hamilton- Bass, Guitar and Backing Vocals
Joey Kramer- Drums and Percussions
There is only three band members that stayed with the band from day one they are Steven Tyler, Joey Kramer and Tom Hamilton.
The band is going strong and still doing tours. I grew up listening to this band I love there music and if they ever came around here I would really like to go and see them in concert. To me there music is awesome it is something about there music that i really like. It is really hard to explain.
Sorry this is another long one but I wanted to get as much information on here as I could. I would really like to hear what you have to say about Aerosmith. I am leaving you with a video of one of my favorite songs!♥

On his 11th birthday he had gotten his very first guitar. His uncle's and his pastor was giving him lessons on the guitar. Elvis was described as crazy about his music in 6th grade. Slim's younger brother worked at a radio station and brought Elvis there to perform to get the shyness away. By the second time going to the radio station it had worked. Then Elvis and his family had moved to Memphis and his music teacher said he had no aptitude for singing. The next day he brought his guitar to school and sang " Keep Them Cold Ice Fingers Off Me". He had gotten in trouble for singing that song in school. Then Elvis had three jobs to help his mom pay the bills. He was also entered in a talent show in 1953. The people rumbled because they didn't know that he could sing. After the talent show he was amazed how popular he became then.
Elvis never had any formal music lessons. He didn't know how to read the notes for music at all. He studied and played by ear. He listened to records at the record store with the jukebox and listening booths. The music he listened to was Hank Snow, Roy Acuff, Ernest Tubb, Ted Daffan, Jimmy Rodgers, Jimmy Davis and Bob Wills.
In August 1953 Elvis walked into Sun Records and wanted to have a few minutes of studio time to record two songs for his mom. The names of the songs are "My Happiness" and " That's When Your Heartaches Begin". He was hoping to be noticed while recording the songs. Sun Records boss Sam Phillips said to write his name down to the secretary.
Elvis career started in 1954 with Sun Records and with owner Sam Phillips. The music was accompanied by guitarist Scotty Moore, Bassist Bill Black. Elvis is one of the originators of Rockabilly, an up tempo back beat-driven of Country and Rhythm and Blues. RCA Victor acquired his contract in a deal arranged by Colonel Tom Parker which would be Elvis manager for many years. The first single for Elvis is " Heartbreak Hotel". This was released in January 1956 and was a number one hit.
On March 24, 1958 Elvis was enlisted into the US Army as a private at Fort Chaffee near Fort Smith Arkansas. The media and fans were there when he stepped off the bus. Reporters followed him on base. Elvis told the officers he didn't want to be treated any different from anyone else. Elvis did his basic training at Fort Hood Texas. After basic training he had a two week leave and he went to Nashville to cut five songs. The he returned to Fort Hood and in August his mother was diagnosed with Hepatitis and her condition got worse. Elvis has and emergency leave to go and visit her. Elvis arrived on August 12th and two days later his mom passed away at age 46.
On October 1st he was in Friedberg Germany. This is were he was introduced to amphetamines. This was not for energy but it was for strength and weight loss. He donated his Army pay to charities. While in Germany he met 14 year old Priscella Beaulieu. After seven in half years of courtship they married.
Then March 2,1960 Elvis returned wtih honorable discharge and was ranked as a Sergeant. On March 20th at RCA Nashville Studio He cut tracks for a new album with the single " Stuck On You" and that went to number one. G.I. Blues the soundtrack was the first film for Elvis since he was home.
In February 1964 Elvis performed tow shows at a benefit event in Memphis on behalf of 24 Charities. He was also presented a plaque by RCA for selling of 75 million copies Worldwide.
His movie career started on 1960 with " Flaming Star" and " Wild in the Country" in 1961. He made 27 movies in the 1960's. The most popular movies are "Viva Las Vegas" Crying In The Chapel" and " How Great Thou Art". The movie " How Great Thou Art" won a Grammy for Elvis.
On February 1 1968 his daughter Lisa Marie was born. This was a time he was deeply unhappy with his career. So in late June Elvis recorded a Christmas special and it would be shown on NBC on December 3rd. For this show he sang with power that people no longer expect of Rock and Roll singers, the way he moved his body with a lack of pretension and effort. This was a great show to watch for Christmas. January 1969 the single " If I Can Dream" reached number twelve. Then the soundtrack for the special went into the top ten.
Then on October 9,1973 Elvis and Priscella had gotten a divorce. Elvis's health was becoming unwell. He had overdosed twice with barbiturates. He had spent three days in a comma the first time in his hotel suite. The end of 1973 he was hospitalized from the effects of Demerol. In 1973 Elvis had done 168 concerts. Despite his health failing in 1974 he had another busy year touring. During this tour he could hardly stand and you could tell he was all drugged up. But each show was a sellout crowd to see him.
Then in 1977 he was really overweight, his mind was dulled by pharmacopoeia he took daily. He could barely pull himself through a concert. In Alexandria, Louisiana you could not understand a word he was singing. He never showed up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. June 26 was his final concert in Market Square Arena in Indianapolis. On August 1st the three body guards that his dad fired wrote a book called "Elvis: What Happened". Elvis suffered from Glaucoma, High Blood Pressure, Liver Damage and an Enlarged Colon from drug abuse. On August 16, 1977 his girlfriend Ginger Alden went to get Elvis because he was suppose to start a new tour. Ginger found him laying on the bathroom floor unresponsive. She tried to revive him and she could not. Elvis was pronounced dead at 3:30pm at Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was layed to rest on August 18,1977. There was over 80,000 people lined for the processional route to Forest Hill Cemetery
Then one of Elvis cousin's Billy Mann decided to take a picture while the coffin was open for the National Enquirer so he could get $18,000. Then his girlfriend Ginger gave her story about Elvis so she could get $105,000. These are some really greedy people.
I will end this by saying that Elvis had a great career and I do love his music. I am proud to say that a great person served in the Army just like my dad did too. .

My Revue on Bruce Springsteen!
This morning I was trying to figure out who to write about. Then I thought of Bruce Springsteen. I remember growing up and the first album I listened to was "Born to Run". I thought this was a great album from him. It is something about his voice that I really like. It is really different than anyone else.
Bruce Springsteen was born September 23, 1949 in Long Beach, New Jersey.
He was nick named the boss from his band members. This is because after the shows he would go and get the money and give each band member there pay for the night.
The type of music is Rock, Heartland Rock, Roots Rock, Jersey Shore Sound, Country Rock. The Band's name is the E Street Band.
Bruce is singer and songwriter. He is known for his brand of heartland rock, poetic lyrics and american sentiments centered on his native New Jersey. Most successful albums are Born to Run and Born in the USA. Sold more than 65 million in the US and over 120 million worldwide. His dad was a bus driver and his mom was a legal secretary. Bruce's heritage is 50% Italian, 37% Irish and 13% Dutch. He has two sisters and he was raised Catholic.
Bruce's influence growing up was Elvis at age 7. At age 13 his mom bought him his first guitar for $18. Then at age 16 his mom had to take a loan out to buy him a Kent guitar for $60. Later Bruce had written a song about the guitar called "The Wish".
In 1965 Bruce was in a band called The Castiles. He was lead guitar and lead vocals. in 1964 he failed a physical exam for the Vietnam War. Because the year before he had suffered a concision from a motorcycle accident.

This album had reached number three on the billboard 200. This album was a favorite on the Classic Rock stations. Then in 1978 he had released "Darkness on the Edge of Town". This was the turning point for him. Gone were the raw, rapid-fire lyrics, outsized character and long, multi-part musical compositions. Then songs are more leaner and more carefully drawn.
Then on 1984 he released "Born in the USA" This is the album that Bruce is best known for making. He sold over 15 million copies in the US. He also had seven singles to go on to the top ten. My Revue on Chicago!
This morning I decided to write about Chicago. This is one of my favorite bands growing up. I also grew up in Chicago like some of the band members.
The band was formed in Chicago, Illinois. The first name of the band was The Big Thing then they went to The Chicago Transit Authority.
Chicago's style of music is Rock, Jazz Rock, Progressive Rock and Soft Rock.
The band was formed from a group of musicians that went to DePaul University and they were all music students. This is the six members that started the band: Terry Kath- guitar and was born in Chicago, Illinois he passed away in early 1978, Danny Seraphine- drums he was born in Chicago, Illinois, James Pankow- trombone, he was born in St. Louis, Missouri, Lee Loughnane- trumpet, he was born in Elmwood Park, Illinois, Robert Lamm- Keyboards, he was born in N.Y. but then was raised in Chicago, Illinois, Peter Cetera- bass and vocals, he was born in Chicago, Illinois.
In 1967 - June 1968 the band was called The Big Thing. In June of 1968 the band moved to Los Angeles, California. This is with the guidance of there friend and manager James William Guerico. James had gotten the band a record deal with Columbia Records and they changed there name to The Chicago Transit Authority. Then in April 1969 they releasedd a double album called The Chicago Transit Authority. Some people would just call the the CTA's. This album was a jazzy instrumental album with some Latin percussion to it. This was the band's first album and it had sold over one million copies and was awarded a Platinum Disc and this was in 1970. Shortly after this album was released the band had to change there name again. They decided to change it to Chicago. They had to do this because the actual Chicago Transit Authorities were going to take legal action against the band.
In 1970 there next album was released it is called Chicago also known as Chicago II. This album was also a double album. This album had several top forty hits. Some like " Make Me Smile" and "Colour My World". This also had Robert Lamm's dynamic by cryptic 25 or 6 to 4 song on it. This song is in a reference to a songwriter trying to write a song 25 or 26 minutes to 4 in the morning.
The band released an album every year from 1971 - 1979. During this time the albums consist of the bands name and a roman numeral. This was the bands naming pattern that lent an encyclopedia aura to the bands work. The fourth album was a live box set call "Chicago at Carnegie Hall" and the 12th album was called "Hot Steels".
In 1978 the band had let long time manager James William Guercio go. Then on January 23rd co-founder Terry Kath died of an acciedental self inflicted gun shot wound. This almost ended it for the band. But a friend and admirer Doc Severinsen encourged the band to keep going with there music. After over thirty potential replacements the band hired Donnie Dacuson in April of 1978.
In 1981 Peter Cetera had made a solo album. Then in 1985 Peter left the band. He was very successful on his own. He was on the Pop Charts with " Glory of Love" and The Next Time I Fall". Then in 1988 he had two more to songs with " One Good Woman" and " After All". He is doing very good for himself. In 1985 Jason Scheff replaced Peter. Jason was very successful for the band.
In 1993 the band didn't mind that there was a lot of bootlegs out there from the concerts. They knew that the fans were making them. The concert that had the most bootlegs out there was " Stone of Sisyphus". The reason why the band didn't mind the bootlegs is because they knew that they had real loyal fans.
In 1997 the band released "The Heart of Chicago 1967-1997". This album went gold and had the number one hit adult contemporary his called " Here in My Heart". In 1998 the band released "Chicago XXV The Christmas Album". This album went to gold. It had all traditional Christmas music on it.
In 2006 the band made many appearances with Huey Lewis and the News. The Chicago XXX album was on the top 200 list for two weeks straight. Then in October of 2007 the band released " The Best of Chicago 40th Anniversary Edition". This album was a compilation of forty years of music. Then in 2009 Chicago reunited with Earth, Wind and Fire for a tour. In 2010 Chicago toured with the Doobie Brothers. Also in 2010 Chicago appeared on American Idol for the season finale show.
Here is the list of the band member to this day- Robert Lamm 1967- Now Keyboard, Synthesizer, guitar and Vocals. James Pankow 1967 - Now Trombone, Percussion, Keyboard and Vocals. Lee Loughnane 1967 - Now Trumpet, Guitar, Keyboards, Percussion and Vocals. Walter Parazaider 1967 - Now Woodwinds and Backing Vocals. Jason Scheff 1985 - Now Bass, Keyboards and Vocals. Tris Inboden 1990 -Now Drums, Percussion and Harmonica. Keith Howland 1995 - Now Guitar and Vocals. Drew Hester 2009 - Now Keyboard, Percussion and Record Producer. Lou Pardini 2009 - Now Keyboard, Songwriter and Vocals.
The band has sold over 38 million records. They have 23 Gold Albums, 18 Platinum Albums and 8 Multi- Platinum Albums. The have over 21 songs that have gone on the top ten list.
Even though they have gone through band member changes this band is still going strong. They have a lot of great music still. This is one band I would love to go and see in concert. When the band was about to break up I was really upset then I heard that they had another album and I was ecstatic. I use to have all of there albums but thanks to my ex I don't anymore.
I hope everyone likes this revue I have done and please leave your comments about it!♥

My Revue on Johnny Cash!
I decided this morning to write about Johnny Cash. I really like a lot of his music. I also grew up listening to his music with my parents. I know it is his deep voice that gets to me and the southern drawl.
Johnny was born on February 26th, 1932 in Kingsland, Arkansas. He passed away on September 12th, 2003 at the age of 71. He was the third child of seven children.
The style of music for Johnny Cash is Country, Rock, Rockabilly, Folk and Blues. He does vocals and plays the guitar and harmonica.
Johnny always looked up to his older brother Jack growing up. At the age of 5 Johnny was working in the cotton field with his family. Johnny's brother Jack worked at a saw mill in town. One day when Jack was 15 he was at work at the saw mill he was almost cut in half. He was pulled in a whirling head saw. This day Jack and Johnny were suppose to go fishing. But Jack wanted to go to work to make money for the family.
Johnny was inspired by Gospel music at a very early age. As a young boy he began to play the guitar and writing music. In high school he sang on a local radio station and later he released an album called My Mother's Hymn Book.
Johnny enlisted in the United States Air Force. His basic training was in San Antonio, Texas. Then he was transferred to Germany. He was honorably discharged from the service in 1954.
He was arrested seven times but never had to spend time in prison. He did have to spend a night in jail a couple of times. This was when his career was taking off and he was drinking heavily and started to take amphetamines and barbiturates. His friends would joke around and say he is really nervous. But this was how bad he was on the drugs. He would have to take uppers to stay awake during a show. He has tried every drug there was to try.
Johnny was married to Vivian and they had four girls. Then they divorced and he married June Carter and they had a boy. Johnny and Vivian moved to Memphis and he was selling appliances before his career took off. One day he went to audition for Sam Phillips and he sang gospel. Sam told him that gospel wasn't selling at the time. So Johnny played one of his country songs and Sam signed him on.
Folsom Prison Blues was on the top five list the next one was Walk The Line that went to number one on the country charts. This was just the start of the many hit songs that Johnny would have in his career.
Then he had his own t.v. show called The Johnny Cash Show this was in 1969-1971. He had special guests like Carl Perkins, The Carter Family, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan and Kenny Rogers are some of the people he had on the show. He also had Kris Kristofferson on the show and help him get his singing and song writing career going.
in the early 70's he started to perform in black. The reason for him wearing the black was for the poor, hungry the people in prison and the Vietnam war. That is how he had gotten the name The Man In Black.
In 1980 Johnny was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. By my surprise to find out he was the youngest person to be inducted. In the mid 80's he recorded and tour with the Highwaymen. It was Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson and Willie Nelson. In 1988 Johnny had a double by pass surgery.
In 1993 Johnny sang with U2's album Zooropa the song The Wanderer. Johnny also teamed up with Brooks & Dunn to sing Folsom Prison Blues on the Red Hot & Country for Aids Benefit. He also sang the Bob Dylan favorite Forever Young. Johnny and June had many special guest apperances on Dr. Quinn show. Johnny also enlisted the accompaniment of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Unchained. Then won Best Country Album at the Grammy.
In 1997 he was diagnosed with neurodegenitive disease, sky-drager syndrome a form of Parkinson's disease. Later Altered to autonomic neuropathy associated with diabetes. The albums American III Solitary Man & American IV The Man Comes Around is the way he is responding to his illness in the form of songs. The video Hurt fits the veiw of his past feelings of regret.
Right before June passed away she told him to keep working. Then two months after she passed away Johnny went to the Carter Family Fold in Virginia. Then right before he sang The Ring of Fire he read a statement that he had just written. " The spirit of June Carter shadows over me tonight with the love she had for me and the love I have for her. We connect somewhere between here and heaven. She came down for a short visit I guess, From heaven to visit me tonight to give me courage and inspiration like she always has.
He is in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Rockabilly Hall of Fame, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He also has numerous awards. He has had a awesome career and some of his kids are following in his and June's footsteps with the music. He does have a lot of great music out there and I know I really didn't mention a lot of that. I am really sorry about that.
I just hope you do like this revue about Johnny Cash and I look forward to you comments.

My Revue on ZZ Top
This morning I was trying to figure out who to write about today. Then it came to me ZZ Top. I love there music ever since I heard it the first time. For some reason this band is one of my favorites. Just listening to there music calms me down.
The band was formed in 1969 in Houston, Texas. They were referred to as " That Little Ol' Band From Texas". The original members of the band are-
BillyGibbons- guitar and vocals Dan Mitchell-Drummer, Lainer Greig-Bass. Billy and Dan were in a band called The Moving Sidewalk. A couple of the other band member were drafted in the US Army. Later that year Billy Gibbons met Dusty Hill and he replaced Dan Mitchell and Lainer Greg with Dusty Hill and Frank Beard. Dusty Hill- bass, keyboards and vocals, Frank Beard- drums. Once they had there line up they hired Bill Ham as there manager. Dusty and Frank are from a band called American Blues.
There style of music is Blues based Boogie Rock, Southern Rock and Hard Rock.
In 1971 was there debut album but that did not go good for the band at all. Then in 1972 the album Rio Grande Mud was not on the top 100 either. But this one was good for the concerts. In 1973 Tres Hombres charted number eight on the top 200.
Labor Day 1974 at Austins Texas Memorial Stadium had an audience over 100,000 people for a concert. The concert named " ZZ Top's First Annual Size Rompin' Stompin' Barn Dance and Bar BQ." With special guests Santana, Joe Cocker and Bad Company.
In 1977 the band was only going to take a two week break from the media. But the two week break turned into a two year break. Billy went to Europe, Frank went to Jamaica and Dusty went to Mexico. While they were gone Billy and Dusty grew there beards down to there chest.
In 1979 the band reunited and they release the album Deguello. This album went to platinum.
In 1981 the Eliminator album was released and this album sold over ten million albums. This album also has received many awards for the music and the videos. The videos made for this album are on DVD and this has also went to platinum.
In 2003 they released the album Mescalero this album has a hidden track called " As Time Goes By" on it. This is in the mode of Carlo Santana's Supernatural. They also released a four-cd collection called Chrome, Smoke and BBQ. This box set has several rare B side tracks, radio promotion from 1979, a live track, extended dance mix versions, three tracks from Billy Gibbons pre-ZZ days, and the Moving Sidewalks are included. This was the bands last album.
2004 ZZ Top was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Keith Richards from the Rolling Stones gave the speech. ZZ Top also did a brief performance with LaGrange and Tush.
On September 10th 2008 the band released Eliminator Collector's Edition CD/DVD in celebrating there 25th Anniversary. this went to the Diamond Album.
From the RIAA ZZ Top has achieved Four Gold, Three Platinum, Two Multi Platinum album certifications. They also have One Diamond Album.
With there career I think ZZ Top has done an awesome job with there music. Yes I said it earlier I love this band. They also got the name from zig zag and the top rolling papers. With everything they have achieved the band is still doing concerts. They did a World Tour last year. I can tell you one thing I am a dedicated fan of there's. I really love there music. I never did get to see them in concert I hope to do that before they do retire.

My Revue on Rush!
Today I decided to write about Rush. I was able to see them last year at Summerfest. This is another awesome band. They have a lot of great music and when I seen them they really have an awesome concert.
The band was formed in Canada. They formed this band August 1968 in Willowdale this is a town near Toronto. The style of music for Rush is blues-inspired, heavy metal, hard rock, progressive rock and a period of using synthesizers.
The band members are- bass, keyboards and lead vocals Geddy Lee, guitar Alex Lifeson and drums and lyricist Neal Peart. There was another drummer before Neal his name is John Rustsey. He had to quit because he had medical problems. He had found out that he has diabetes. He found this out two weeks before there tour in the United States. There was also one other replacement in the band. Jeff Jones was in the band when they first got together he was bass and lead vocals. Then two weeks after they formed the band he was replaced by Geddy Lee. Geddy and Alex were friends from school.
In 1974 The band was known for there musicianship, complex compositions and electric lyrical motifs drawing heavily on the science fiction, fantasy, philosophy of the music. They are also known for addressing humanitarian, social, emotional and environmental concerns. There main influences were The Who and Led Zeppelin.
In 1974 there first album was released that was the Rush album. Then in 1976 the album 2112 was released it was the first platinum album in Canada. The title track is twenty minutes long and the record company wanted them to divide it into seven parts. This was the band's first commercial album and it was the best one at the time. They went on tour with this album they had three nights in Toronto. While on this tour they recorded a live album. All the World's a Stage was the name of the album and this was there first live album.
In 1977 while they were in the United Kingdom the band recorded A Farewell to Kings and in 1978 they recorded Hemispheres at the rock studio in Wales. At this point the band was looking for some kind of a trademark and a personality of there own. There was two bands that inspired them to do this it was Yes and King Crimson. So they found there way of doing it and this is how using synthesizer, extended length, highly dynamic playing features and Rush's composition. This is when Alex started to experiment with the twelve string guitar, Geddy added a bass-pedal synthesizer and Neal added cow bells, triangles, wood blocks, glockenspiel, timpani, gong and chimes.
In 1980 they released Permanent Waves and this was Rush's first top 5 album. This one has Freewill and The Spirit of the Radio on it. On this album the songs are shorter. In 1981 was the release of Moving Pictures. This album was were Permanent Waves left off.. Tom Sawyer is the lead track off this album and best known song. Limelight was also released off this album and had a great response from the radio stations and the fans. The longest song on the album is The Camera Eye this song is eleven minutes long. Moving Pictures album reached the number three spot on the Billboard 200 chart and has been certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
As of 2004 Rush sold over 40 million albums Worldwide. On June 25th, 2010 The band received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The bands saying is you love them or you hate them. I really agree with this because they are an awesome band. They have a great style of music and they tell you a story with each album. I love how they tell you a story with music. The three band members have been together since 1974 and they have a great friendship. This is the only band I know that has been together this long. There music just keeps getting better and better every time a new album comes out.
I told you earlier in here I seen them at Summerfest and that was an awesome concert. They did the whole album from Moving Pictures. I would rather see them in concert because you get to see and hear the real band than the studio versions. I think Rush will be around for a very long time still. They have an awesome career and they have the fans that love them.

My Revue on Yes!
Today I decided to write about the band Yes. I had seen them in July of 2010 at summerfest with my boyfriend. It took me back to when I was growing up and just loved to listen to there music.
The type of music that they play is Progressive Rock, Symphonic Rock, Pop Rock, Art Rock and Psychedelic Rock.
To me I would rather listen to the older music from them. The music from the 70's. Songs like Roundabout, And You And I, Apocalypse, Then, Time and a Work and Every Little Thing. These are just some of the songs.
The band formed in London in 1968 with band members Jon Anderson lead vocals, Peter Banks guitar, Tony Kaye keyboards, Chris Squire bass and Bill Bruford drums. The band was formed by Jon Anderson and Chris Squire. Jon was a brief member of The Gun band and Chris was a member of The Syn band. Chris was influenced from bass player John Entwistle of The Who.
The first album Yes was released July 25th 1969. This album had The Byrd and Every Little Thing on it. This album was really good. I really like this album because it just had a really different sound to it and has a totally different musical power to the album. When I first heard this band I knew they would be around for a long time.
Just like any other band they had there ups and downs with band members coming and going. The band also split up a couple of times.
In late March 1981 was when the band first split up and they also fired long time manager Brian Lane. Also in 1981 Chris Squire and Alan White had been doing some recording for a band that was getting together called the XYZ. This was with Jimmy Page and Robert Plant from Led Zepplin. But Robert couldn't do it anymore because he was still mourning the loss of his best friend John " Bonzo" Bonham. So this never happened for them.
Then in 1983 Chris Squire had seen Jon Anderson at a party in Los Angeles. Chris asked Jon if he would like to do some vocals for a band he was getting together called this Cinema. Jon told Chris yes so they had a new band together again. The did some recordings and the record company told them they would sell more albums if they went back to using the band Yes. The new writer and processor was Trever Rabin.
Then in 1996 the band let Trevor Rabin and Tony Kaye go. This was the start for the band to go back the the classic styles from 1970's music. The band performed three night in San Luis Obispo California. This was Jon's home town. The band sold out all three nights for the shows. They also recorded the live performances for the album Keys to Ascension.
Then in 2008 Steve Howe, Chris Squire, and Alan White reunited the band the second time with Benoit David on vocals and Oliver Wakeman on keyboards.
If you are able to see them in concert I would say do it. They put on an awesome concert. I really enjoyed it and this was the very first time I was to one of there concert. I hope you enjoy this revue about the band.
These are the band members that the group had gone through in the years.

My Revue on Jim Croce!
The way I decided to write about Jim Croce is I was going through some songs on youtube today. I was listening to some of his songs and I thought it would be cool to write about him today.
His real name is James Joseph " Jim " Croce. He was born January 10th, 1943 and he passed away September 20th, 1973. I remember when he passed away. That was a real sad day for me because I love his music.
Jim and his wife Ingrid sang as a duo from 1960 to 1970 with capital records. They really didn't do well with that. They ended up moving back home and Jim went back to work for a construction company. He never did like to do that so then he went in to truck driving. He really had it hard trying to get his singing career going. Jim and Ingrid did record two albums that were released.
In 1970 he ran into a friend of his Joe Salviuolo that plays music too. Jim use to play guitar for him when he had shows back in college. Joe introduced Jim to Maury Muehleisen. Maury is a pianist, guitarist, singer and songwriter. Jim was going to back up Maury but it turned out that Maury was going to back up Jim. In 1972 Jim's career was taking off. He signed a three record deal with ABC Records. With them he recorded three album's. He started going on tours with his band.
Then on September 20th, 1973 after him and the band had left a show and was on the plane to the next show the plane crash. Everyone on the plane died. His last album was just about to come out. In December They did release that album. Jim has a son Adrian was born in 1971. Adrian is a singer, songwriter and musician and he also has some cd's out.
If you really want some good music Jim Croce album's are some to have in your collection. He has a soft and soothing voice and the music with his songs is really good. I wish I had my music collection then I could listen to this music more. In 1972 when his song operator came out is when I really got into his music. Then he came out with bad bad leroy brown and I just love that song.
I hope everyone likes this revue. I am going to leave you with a video of a song that I do like. This song was written for his son Adrian.

My Revue of Shania Twain!
Today I decided to write about Shania Twain. Her real name is Eilleen Regina Edwards and she also goes by Eilleen Twain. I really like her music and she does have great concerts. I have never been to her concerts but I have seen them on t.v.. She also cares about her fans very much.
I don't know it is something about her voice that I really like. She just has that voice that is so soothing to listen to. The some of her songs she has also written. I have listen to her music ever since she started out.
Her career went from 1993 to 2005. Yes it was a short career but she did have a real good career. When she first started out she went to the top with her music. She only had six albums come out but a couple of the went to Diamond Platinum. She also sold over millions of copies of her albums.
She always had sold out concerts and she always made sure the fans had a good time at the concerts. She was a great entertainer and she had received Entertainer of the year awards and she was inducted into the Canadian Walk of Fame.
There is one thing about Shania that did not like. It was the way she would dress for her shows and for the Award shows. She is a very pretty lady but to me she could have dressed better than she did. The way she dressed was like telling her young fans it was alright to dress like that too. That is the only thing I never did like about her. She never dressed like that when she first started out but when she made it big is when she started to dress like that.
I also just found out she has a biography coming out on May 3rd, 2011. I am hoping to get that to read and then I will do a revue on the book also. So I hope you keep a look out for me to do the revue. It will be very interesting to see how she grew up and what has happened in her life. I look forward to reading her book.
The songs from Shania that I do like are Any Man of Mine, Who's bed have your boots been under, Raining on our love, Man! I feel like a woman, From this moment on, Come on over, You're the one, Honey I'm home, Forever and for always. This just some of her songs that I really like. I am listening to some of the songs while I write this.
She married her first husband Robert in 1993. She does have one child it is a boy Eja D'Angelo was born in 2001. In 2008 Shania and Robert were separated and there divorce was final in June 2010. In January 2011 Shania and Fredrick were married.
I wrote this because I heard that someone I know really likes Shania Twain. I hope this person likes what I have wrote about her!♥
I hope that everyone enjoys this revue and I am leaving you with one of her songs that I really like!♥

My Revue of Journey!
This is one of my favorite bands from growing up. So I thought I would do a revue on them for everyone. When I first heard them on the radio I thought wow what a band and how they could come up with some awesome songs. I use to have all of there albums but thanks to my ex he sold them.
The band started in 1973 with band members- Herbie Herbert as Manager, Neal Schon on lead guitar, Gregg Rollie on keyboard and lead vocals, Ross Vallory on bass, George Tickner on rhythm guitar and Prairie Prince on drums. This was the very first band line up. They didn't have a name for the band yet. They had a radio contest to come up with a name for this band. But the band had not success to find a name. Then one day one of the roadies came up with the name Journey and that is what the band went with for the name.
The very first couple of albums that the band recorded were jazz fusion style. The first place that they played these songs was at Winterland Ballroom for a New Year's Eve show. Then shortly after this show the drummer Prairie Prince left the band. So the band hired drummer Aynsley Dunbar.
In 1974 the band debuted at Great American Music Hall and that is when they landed a recording contract with Columbia Records. So in 1975 the band finally released there very first album called Eponymous. After recording this album the rhythm guitar player George Tickner left the band. Then in 1976 the band's second album came out Look Into The Future. These album's did not have much sales on them. The band was missing someone that could do lead vocals. So some of the band members went for some vocal lessons.
In 1977 the band hired Robert Fleischman for the lead vocals. He would give the band more of a popular style. The fans were not to happy with the change in the band sound. But with Robert there the band did write the song Wheel in the sky. But with in a year Robert had left the band.
In late 1977 the band did hired Steve Perry for lead vocals. Steve added a clean tenor sound to the band. The band became a true pop act and there fourth album Infinity in 1978 had reached number 21 on the charts. Then the band had there first platinum album. Also that year the drummer Aynsley Dunbar got fired from the band. The band hired Steve Smith on the drums. In 1979 the band recorded Evolution and this album gave the band there first billboard hot top 20 single with Lovin, Touchin, Squeezin song.
Then in 1980 the band recorded Departure and reached number 8 on the album charts and also number 25 on the single chart with Anyway You Want It. Also this year during there tour they recorded there live album call Captured. They also recorded a sound track for the movie Dream After Dream while in Japan. The band has been doing very good at this point in there career.
In 1984 the band has decided to take a break for awhile. That is when Steve Perry decided to try his solo career. He did have a couple of hits on his own. There was some songs that were released while the band took the break.
Then the band reunited in 1985. The only way that Steve Perry would return was if Herbie Herbert was fired. So the band fired him and then they hired Irving Azoff from the Eagles. So then the band was back together recording albums and touring.
In 1997 Steve Perry was hiking in Hawaii and he injured his hip. The only way he could perform again is if he had surgery done on his hip. But he refused to have the surgery done so that meant that he could not be in the band anymore. Also at this time Steve Smith quit the band. So in 1998 the band hired Steve Augeri for lead vocals and also hired Deen Castronovo on the drums.
The next album that was released was Arrival in 2001. Then in 2002 the band released a four track cd box set title Red 13. In 2005 the band was industed to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. By everyone's surprise Steve Perry showed up for this. This also the band's 30th Anniversary for touring. In 2006 Steve Augeri had to leave the band. He was battling Chronic Thoat Infections. In 2007 the band hired Arnel Pineda for the lead vocals. Neal Schon saw him on youtube singing some of the bands songs.
There has been so many band member coming and going. But the band has had so many great songs along the way also. The time that I really liked the band is with Steve Perry. I think he is the one that really made this band with Neal Schon too. Here is a list of the band members past and present-
