My Revue on REO Speedwagon's album Hi Infidelity!

Today I decided to do a revue on REO Speedwagon's album Hi Infidelity. I remember the first time I heard this album I could not believe how good it was. This was back in the 80's and I was still in high school. I just really like the lyric's and the music. To me this band is awesome.

Right now still listening to the music I think they are still really good. I know they have gone through there share of changing the line up. I will always like this album.

This is what I like about each song-

Don't Let Him Go- The way they start it out is awesome with the drums. The music on this is just so awesome that it makes you want to get up and dance to it. The lyrics I like to because it is just telling you not to let someone go that you really care about.

Keep On Loving You- This is more of a ballet to me. The music is great on this song. The lyrics are really good on the song too. But the only problem I have is this song was really over played on the radio.

Follow My Heart- This song is really good. I really like the music on it. I really like the slide on the guitar.

In Your Letter-  The music in this song sounds more like the 50's music. But I do like it but not one of there best songs.

Take It On The Run- This is my favorite song by them. But like the other one they over played it on the radio. I do still listen to it. I just like the way the music is on it.

Tough Guys- At the beginning they have a child talking that is neat. The music is really great on the song. This sounds more like them.

Out Of Season- This one sounds more like a ballet to me. This one I really don't like.

Shakin It Loose- This one the music is alright. But just doesn't sound like a song for them.

Someone Tonight- I really like the music on this one. This is a great song by them I could sit here and listen to it all day long.

I Wish You Were There- I love how they start this song off with the music. Yes this is a ballet but the music is great on it. The lyrics I really like too. This is a great song all the way around.

This album is just great with the music and the songs on it. I hope everyone likes the revue. I would really like to hear your comments to this album. I am leaving you a video from the album!♥

My Revue on Little House on the Prairie!

Yes I have finished the next book. This on is really interesting and I learned more than I thought I would with this book.

They are still by Plum Creek and Ma, Mary, Carrie and baby Grace all have scarlet fever. So Pa and Laura are taking care of them all. The Nelson's have it too so there is no one to help Pa and Laura. The doctor is coming by everyday to check on everyone. The scarlet fever went into Mary's eyes and she went blind.

Then one day there is a horse and buggy coming up to the house but Laura can't tell who it is. It stops in front of the door and it is Aunt Dorca from the big woods. Ma is still very weak and she came to the door to say hi and let Aunt Dorca in. Aunt Dorca came to see Pa to let him know that Uncle Hi was out west with the railroad and he had a job for Pa. It is keeping books and running the store if Pa was interested. Pa was very interested but Ma said Mary was to weak to travel. So Pa went to see if Mr Nelson could keep an eye on Ma and the girls and in a couple of months bring them to the train station. Mr Nelson said yes. So Pa left with Aunt Dorca the next day. When Pa left he told Laura to be Mary's eyes and tell her what she sees. Laura told him she would be Mary's eyes.

In the couple of months Ma and Laura had packed up the house. Mr Nelson is going to send there things to them. Mr. Nelson came to the house to pick up Ma and the girls it was time to go to the train station. When they got there Ma told Laura to watch the girls while Ma went to get the tickets. Laura was telling Mary everything she could see. The train was very loud as it was pulling up to the station and the horn was so loud it hurt there ears. When the train stopped a man came down the stairs and helped Ma up into the train Ma was holding Grace in her arms and he asked if that was her satchel and Ma said yes. He grabbed the satchel and brought it in the train to Ma. Ma told Laura to help Mary up the stairs and in the train. The girls were so excited to be riding the train.

The train started heading out west to the Dakota's by Pa. While the train was going the conductor came and punched a hole in everyone's tickets. Then they got to the city that afternoon and Pa was not there by the train. So the man helped Ma and Grace off the train and he said he would take them to the hotel when he was done with the train. The man had to help turn the train around because that was as far as it went. The man grabbed the satchel and walked Ma and the girls to the hotel and a girl told them they could wash up around the corner. Then when they were done to come in the dining room and have something to eat. When they got to the dining room it was filled with a lot of men eating. So Ma and the girls sat down and had something to eat. When the men were done they left and the girl asked Ma if she was waiting for someone. Ma said yes and the girl said that they could wait in the sitting room. So they went to the sitting room and waited for Pa to come. He didn't come until late that day and he said it was to late to start out.

The next day the left for camp and it was a very long ride. It took all day to get there. They stopped to have lunch on the way but the girls were so tired of being in the wagon. It was dark by the time they got there and all you could see coming up to the camp was a little spot of light. Pa stopped in front of this one shanty and Uncle Hi was outside and he helped Ma and Grace off the wagon. Aunt Docia said come inside I have supper waiting for you. They only stayed at this camp for a couple of weeks. Then men were starting to break the camp down. Pa couldn't leave until the men were done breaking the camp down.

Then it was time to leave there and go west more to Silver Lake. This took another whole day to get to. The girls were tired of bouncing in the wagon. But like always Laura was telling Mary everything that she sees. They stopped to have lunch and then on the road again. It was late when they got to the next camp. Pa seen the dot of light and he said they are almost there. When they got there a man was outside holding a lantern. It was Uncle Henry from the big woods with cousin Charly. Ma was so surprised to see them all the way out here. Then Uncle Henry helped Ma and Grace off the wagon and cousin Charly helped the girls out of the wagon. There was a voice inside saying come in and it was cousin Louisa she said she had supper keeping warm for them. Then when they were done eating Uncle Henry took them to there shanty. The next morning it was loud with all the men getting ready to leave to go to work.

It started to get cold and the men were getting ready to leave Silver Lake to go home. Pa said that the shanty would not be warm enough for them to stay there. Pa wanted to get homestead there for them to live on but never had enough time to go and look. He said they would have to go back east for the winter and everyone was upset for traveling this far. Uncle Henry was going back to the big woods to sell his land. Then the surveyors came to talk to Pa about them staying in there house because they had to leave in a couple days to go and take care of something and would not be back until spring. Pa told Ma about that and she was really happy. They left everything behind dishes, pots and pans, beds and food and coal for the winter. They said they could have all the food and cool for the winter. It was a big house two floors and it was huge. The next day they moved into the house. The only thing the men asked Pa to do was watch the tools.

The next day that they moved in there Laura ran ahead and checked the whole house out. She couldn't believe how big it was. She was running through the house. When Pa got there with the wagon she ran outside and told Ma to come in there to look how big it was. Then the next day there was a knock on the door and it was Mr. Boast coming to say good bye to Pa and telling Pa he was going to get married and come right back. Pa said it was going to snow and be real hard to come back in the snow and Mr. Boast said he would make it back.

Then on Christmas Eve they were singing and all of a sudden you could here a voice outside calling for Pa. It was Mr. Boast and his new wife outside. Pa went and helped them and Mrs. Boast came in the house and Pa and Mr. Boast went and put the horses in the stable. Mr. Boast said that his sled was stuck in the snow down a ways. Ma made them some supper and said they could spend the night there. So they spent Christmas with Mr and Mrs Boast.

Over the winter Pa found the land for the homestead. So in the spring he went to Bookings to put money on the homestead. There was a big crowd and someone else wanted the same land as Pa. Pa seen Mr Edwards in Bookings and he bought land north of them. Pa spent the night on the door step so he could get the land. In the morning Pa put the money on the land and came home.

The camp was starting to turn into a town and Pa went to make a little house on the land for them to move into. The surveyors were coming back to the house. So in a couple of days it was moving day onto the new land. This was the last move for them. Pa promised Ma he would make the home bigger when he was able to.

I hope you enjoy this revue on this book. I would really like to know what you think of it please leave your comments. Thank you for taking the time to read this!♥

American Idol Judges!

Yes I decided to write about the judges from this season. Because they are a big part of this show and what they have to say about the contestants is very important.

Randy- He has been on this show since it started in 2002. One thing I can say is he does not pick his favorites. Yes he did say to a couple of them that he really liked them. But he was saying to a lot of them that they are in it to win it. I really like Randy because he really does tell you how it is. If he don't like you he will come right out and say it and not beat around the bush. I think he is very honest with them. He is an awesome judge!

Jennifer- She just came on the show this season. She did have a couple of favorites on the show and she did let them know that. To me that is not how you should be on this type of a show. I also don't think you shouldn't be debuting your own music video on the show. Maybe I am wrong in this part but that is how I think. You are there as a judge not for your own music. But yes she did let the contestants know if they were doing something wrong with there songs. I do give her that. She was alright for a judge!

Steven- He just came on the show this season. He was so funny on here and I loved it. Yes he did have his favorites on here too and he did let them know that. But yes he did let the contests know if they were doing something wrong and he let them know if they were awesome. Sometimes with how he would say it I was sitting here laughing so hard. I just hope he comes back next season I think he made the show with Randy. Steven is an awesome judge!

Ryan- He has been on the show since 2002 as the host. I think he is awesome as the host. I really like when he starts to pick on the judges about what they say to the contestants. When Simon was there they would really go at it and I would sit here and just laugh at them. But he is really good with all the contestants. That is what I really like about Ryan.!

Jimmy- He just started this year as a partner to the show. But he has been on here before as a mentor to the contestants. He does an awesome job helping the contestants with there songs choices. He will let them know if that is a good song choice for them or he will let them just do the song and see how it goes for them. I remember one song for James he didn't want James to do the song but it ended up being a great choice for James. Jimmy is also a producer for a lot of singers. I really hope to see him next season on here again!

I hope you enjoy this about the judges, host and mentor. I just thought I would write about this and see what everyone else has to say about it. Please feel free to leave your comment on here! Thank you for taking the time to read this!♥

Well this week was Season 10 finale. I can say this was an awesome finale show. It was the best one that they have had. So many special guests this year a lot of great songs for the finale.

Over 122 million votes for the finale and for the youngest finale finalists.

On Tuesday's show they said that Lauren had blew out a vocal cord and was on medicine for it. This happened during rehearsal.

Round 1- There favorite songs
Scotty sang "Gone" by Montgomery Gentry. This was awesome like the first time he sang it. He has so much fun with this song.
Lauren sang "Flat on the Floor" by Carrie Underwood. It was alright but not her best. You do have to consider about what happened during rehearsal.

Round 2- Celebrity Picks
Scotty had George Strait to pick for him and he sang "Check Yes or No". Another awesome performance with a great song. He can sing any song that you give him.
Lauren had Carrie Underwood to pick her song and she sang "Maybe it was Memphis" by Pam Tillis. She had a really good performance with this song. She did do better.

Round 3- A Single for the person who wins.
Scotty sang "I Love You This Big". This performance was great and I really love this song for him.
Lauren sang "Like My Mother Does". This was a good performance. I really like the song for her.

The Judges picks are Round 1- Scotty, Round 2 Lauren, Round 3 Lauren. Jennifer did not pick for round 3.

To end the show David Cook sang " Don't you forget about me". I just enjoy listening to him sing so much. He has an awesome voice.

Then on Wednesday was an awesome show. To get it started the top 13 sang "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga.

James with Judas Priest sang " Living After Midnight" and "Breaking The Law". This was really awesome.

Jacob, Kirk Franklin and Gladys Knight sang "I Smile". This was really good.

Casey and Jack Black sang "Fat Bottom Girls". I really liked this. They had a lot of fun with the song.

Top 13 Ladies and Beyounce sang a mixture of different songs.

Haley and Tony Bennett sang "Steppin Out". This was awesome. You could tell that they both enjoyed singing together.

TLC, Top13 Ladies and Lil John sang "Scrubs". This was alright but not kind of music.

Scotty and Tim McGraw sang "Live Like Your Dying". This was awesome to see them sing together. Tim is the most played artist on the radio for the last 10 years.

Marc Anthony- He was singing in Spanish. I don't know the name of the song.

Top 13 Guys sang "Kiss", "She's a Lady", "What's up pussy cat" and with Tom Jones "It's not Unusual".

Lady Gaga sang "Edge of Glory".

Lauren and Carrie Underwood sang "Before He Cheats". This was really good. I love this song.

Beyounce sang "1 plus 1".

Reeve Carney, Bono and The Edge sang "Rise Above" from Spiderman. Bono and The Edge are the composers for the song.

Steven Tyler sang "Dream On" as always he is awesome singing. I really love Aerosmiths music.

The Winner is Scotty and to end the show he sang "I Love You This Big". He was laughing and crying while he sang the song. I was so happy that he won.

American Idol will be back on in January. So I hope everyone liked my revue for the show and I will be back in January to start all over.

I would like to hear what you have to say about the finale so please leave your comments. I am leaving you with Scotty's new single.

My Revue on Journey's Album Frontiers!

I was thinking of an album to do today and Journey came to mind. This album is one of my favorites from Journey.

This album came out after I graduated high school. It has a lot of memory for me. Because I had just broken up with one of my boyfriends and I would sit in my room and just listen to the songs. I will tell you what each of the songs on here means to me.

Separate Ways- This song is tells me that no matter if you break up with someone that you love you will find true love along the way. Yes my boyfriend back then hurt me but now I found the love of my life.

Send Her My Love- I had gotten married back in December 1983. My now ex husband was in the Army and he was in basic training. He told me to listen to this song and I would know how much he loved me. It was like with this song he was sending me his love.

Chain Reaction- This song I do like it. But it is the music that I like for this song.

After The Fall- I love the beat of this music and what it tells you. It tells me that no matter what happens in a relationship to pick yourself up and move on.

Faithfully- This is my favorite song on the album. This song is how I am in a relationship. I am always faithful and tell my boyfriend the truth. The music in this song is so great and yes I know it is a ballet but I love it. It basically is telling you to be faithful and true. That is what I love about this song.

Edge Of The Blade- The beginning of the song just listening to the music you just start to get into the music. This is great it just makes you move with it. That is what I like about this song.

Troubled Child- This song I really don't care for. It just don't so anything for me.

Back Talk- This song at the beginning gets you moving to the music too. I like the beat of the music.

Frontiers- This song I really don't care for. The music is alright but it just don't do anything for me.

Rubicon- This song I get into the music. I like the beat of the music a lot but that is about it for me.

Yes I do have my favorites for this album and some that I really don't care for. To me this is a really great album. I will listen to the albums with Steve Perry singing. To me it just isn't Journey with him singing. I would like to hear what you like and dislike about this album. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am leaving you with my favorite video!♥

My Revue on Little House on the Prairie!

Yes I have finished this book last night. I hope everyone is enjoying my revue's as much as I am writing them. So far for me this book is more like the show. There are a couple of things in the book different from the show. I will let you know when I get to that part of the book.

The family had left the Indian Territory headed east they went through Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and came to Minnesota. They came to a town called Walnut Grove. Pa had asked if there was land for sale here and someone told him about some land. A man was going to move and wanted to sell his land. Pa took the family to the land he was looking it over and a man came up to the wagon and Pa asked if he was Mr. Hanson. The man said yes.

This house was built into the bank of a hill. There was a stable already built there too. The house was built of sod and had vines around the doorway. Ma said the house was very clean Ma told the girls that Norwegians are very clean people. You could walk on the roof of the house and not even know it was there. The house was only three miles to town now.

Pa had met a neighbor his name was Mr. Nelson. Pa had bought a cow from Mr. Nelson and she had a wreath of roses on her. The Nelson's called her reet but that is a Norwegian name but it means a wreath of roses. The cow has red spots in a circle.

In the spring Pa was working in the field to plant the wheat and also Ma's garden. At night time he was working on there new house he was building. This was with wood that Pa was buying. The house was going to have lots of windows, an attic for Mary and Laura's room, a bedroom for Ma and Pa and Carrie. Pa also bought Ma a brand new cooking stove for the new house. When Pa was done with the new house they all grabbed some stuff and walked to the new house and they couldn't believe how beautiful it was. Then Ma seen the new stove and was very happy.

For there first Christmas there the girls prayed for new horses. Because the ox were real slow for Pa in the field. The ox could not do the work of horses in the field. So on Christmas day they went to the stable and Pa brought out two new horses. The girls were so happy that Pa got his horses.

Then in the Spring the girls had to start school in town. This was the first time they would be going to school and seeing the inside of a school. Mary was nine years old and Laura was eight years old. Ma was a school teacher so she was teaching them there school lessons. But Ma said when they come to a town that has a school the girls will go to school. There is no school in the winter time.

At school is when they first meet Nellie Oleson. Nellie called them country girls because Nellie lives in town and her Ma and Pa own the store. Nellie was having a party and she invited all the girls in town. When they all got there she said no one could play with her things they had to play with her brother Willie's toys. Nellie was very mean and nasty to the girls that lived in the country. Then two weeks later Mary and Laura had a party and invited all the girls. Nellie didn't like it in the country she was even nasty to Mary and Laura's Ma. Nellie had a fur cape and she was showing it off.

Then Pa heard that every Sunday there was church. So on Sunday everyone put on there best clothes and they all went to church. The Reverend Alden was there and he remembered talking to Pa. Pa had told the Reverend the girls names and he remembered. He called the girls his little country girls.

Pa said the wheat was growing real good. When he would harvest it he would be able to buy new things for everyone. Then all of a sudden the next day a very different cloud came over. This looked like a storm cloud but it wasn't. It was a big cloud of flying grasshoppers. They all landed and started to eat everything including all the wheat in the field. The grasshoppers even stuck to your clothes. This lasted until winter then they started to walk to the west. It is really surprising that they knew which way was west.

Then one night the family put on there good clothes and there was a surprise in town. It was really cold outside but all the town people were asked to come to town. Reverend Alden has another church out east and all the people in his church had gotten together and brought presents for everyone in Walnut Grove. There were presents on the Christmas Tree in the church. Some of the presents were wrapped and some weren't. Ma had gotten a new shawl, Pa had gotten a new coat, Mary had gotten a new blue coat, booklet with bible pictures, bag with candy and a popcorn ball and blue mittens. Laura had gotten red mittens, a bag with candy and popcorn ball, china jewelry box on the top was a tea cup and saucer and a fur cape with a muff. Carrie had gotten a bag with candy and popcorn ball, rag doll with a china head, china dog it is white with brown spots.

Pa had to go away at harvesting time so he could make some money to pay the bill for the wood. So the girls had to be on there best behavior while Pa was gone. He was gone for a long time when he came back it was starting to get real cold. He said he would be able to make a new crop in a couple years. The grasshoppers had laid there eggs all over the land.

Then a real bad blizzard came and there would be three days of real bad winds with the snow then one sunny day. This is how bad it was all winter long. On one of the good days pay walked to town he said he would make it back before it snowed. But he didn't come home for three days. He was stuck out in the bad weather for three days and he survived it. When Pa came home it was Christmas Eve. He had gone for oysters, crackers and candy for the girls stockings. But he was so hungry he ate the crackers and candy. The girls said they didn't care as long as Pa made it home.

Well that is the end of this revue I hope you all like it. I hope to hear your comments on this revue. The next book will be about By The Shores Of Silver Lake. Thank you for taking the time to read this!

My Revue on Garth Brooks Box Set!

I decided to do a revue about this box set today. My boyfriend and I found this at a thrift store for five dollars. I couldn't believe it when he showed it to me. He asked me if I would like to have it and I said yes. So he got it for me and all the cd's are in perfect condition the box is in great condition.

This box set is The Limited Series. This has all of Garth Brooks first six cd's in it. They are Garth Brooks, No Fences, Ropin the Wind, The Chase, In Pieces and Fresh Horses. These are all great albums by him. I love his music.

I have seen Garth Brooks in concert and he does a great performance. He is all over the stage so all the fans can see him. I remember watching a concert on t.v. he rigged a cord so he could go up in the air and go swinging above the audience. He also has a light show for some of his songs too. When I went to see him in concert I has my son with me and it was indoors. My son was about six years old and he was so excited to go and see Garth Brooks. He got so scared when Garth sang The Thunder Rolls.

I am going to write a little about each c.d. of how I like each one.

Garth Brooks- This is the first album and there are a few songs that are good on this one. The ones I really like are If Tomorrow Never Comes, Everytime That it Rains, Much Too Young To Feel This Damn Old and The Dance.

No Fences- The second album and the songs I like are The Thunder Rolls, Two Of A Kind Working On A Full House, Friends In Low Places, Wild Horses and Unanswered Prayers.

Ropin the Wind- This is the third album and the songs I like are Rodeo, Burning Bridges, Papa Loves Mama, Shameless and The River.

The Chase is the fourth album and the songs I like are- We Shall Be Free, Walking After Midnight and Learning to Live Again.

In Pieces is the fifth album and the songs I like are- Standing outside the Fire, American Honky Tonk Bar Association, Ain't Going Down Until The Sun Comes Up, The Red Strokes, Callin Baton Rouge, The Cowboy Song.

Fresh Horses is the sixth album and the songs I like are- Cowboys and Angels, The Change, The Beaches Of Cheyenne and She's Every Woman.

Garth Brooks has a way of his own to get his fans to really like his music. Some of his music he writes himself and some of it he don't. If you are collecting Garth Brooks music this is a box set you should have. His music is great.

I am going to leave you with a video. I just would like to know what you have to say about Garth Brooks.

The Girls Graduated!

I can't believe it my youngest child graduated high school yesterday. We are so proud of her. This last year for her was a very long and hard struggle for her. We moved down with my boyfriend she had to switch schools for her last year. Then we find out she has a lot of credits to make up for the last year and that she might not graduate until the after summer school. The high school told us that the tech college offers a program called the Act 39. This is were she only had to get half the credits and she still gets a high school diploma and she walks across the stage in a cap and gown. So we went and talked to the people about that and she went for the Act 39 so she could graduate on time.

My boyfriends daughter graduated yesterday with my daughter. She dropped out of high school and she went back for her high school diploma. This was a struggle for her too. She has a little 3 year old daughter and she went for her diploma too. We are so proud of her too.

I couldn't believe it when they walked down the isle. Both the girls were next to each other and I took a picture of them walking down the isle. They both looked very nice for there graduation. I knew I was going to lose it by crying during the ceremony but we both lost it for both of the girls. They had two parents crying very happy tears for both of them because we are very proud for the two girls. It was a long and hard road for the girls and they both made it. We couldn't be more proud of them.

Now the next thing is the girls  want to go to college. We are behind the girls all the way. We know they can do it to get the degree that they want. The girls are very smart and I know if they put there minds to it they can make it happen.

WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU GIRLS AND WE LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!♥♥

My Album Revue!

Today I decided to write about Rush's Moving Pictures album. I have listened to this album since it came out. But I always wanted to go and see Rush in concert. I finally had that chance last summer with my boyfriend when we went to Summerfest and seen Rush.

I remember when I had gotten this album. My parents didn't like the fact that I was listening to this music. I didn't care at the time because I like there music very much.

To me each song on the album tells a story about the whole album. This I never knew until my boyfriend told me about that. Then he played this album and I seen the story to the album. Then he told me to listen to the music more than the words. I did that and I couldn't believe the instrumental I was listening to on this album. My boyfriend really has opened my eyes to a different light to music. This is the main reason why I am writing about this album. This is the first album we listened to together last summer. This is something I will never forget either because of how much I love my boyfriend.

All of the songs on this album are great. I love every one of the songs on here. But seeing them perform the songs in concert is so much better than listening to the album. Just standing there listening and watching them perform each one of the songs was unreal. We had really good sets and we could watch the stage or we had a screen right by us to watch too. Watching Neal just beat on the drums was great to watch. He is just surrounded by all of these different drums in a circle. Then Geddy going from keyboards to bass and singing. That was really interesting. He does have a great voice singing. Then Alex on the guitar. I loved his guitar solo that was awesome.

If you are a Rush fan this is one album to have in your collection.  There are five main songs on here that I really like the most. Tom Sawyer I know this has been over played but it is a great song, Red Barchetta is another great song, Limelight this is another great song, The Camera Eye is an awesome song on here and Vital Signs is another great song.

I hope you like this revue of the Rush album. I would like to hear what you have to say about this album. I am going to leave you with a video of Tom Sawyer with the Cartoon intro.

American Idol 2011!

This week was really a sad one for me. You will find out by the end of this post.

May 24th will be the Season Finale. I know that is one show I will not miss.

There are only four contestants left this week and they have to sing two songs.

The first type of song they have to sing is Inspirational;

James sang " Don't Stop Believing" By Journey. This was another awesome performance by him. If you listen to this he almost sounds like Steve Perry singing this song and I loved it.

Haley sang " Earth Song" By Micheal Jackson. She did an awesome job with this performance. I just love her voice.

Scotty sang " Where Were You When The World Stop Turning" by Alan Jackson. His performance was awesome too. He can sing his country songs really great. He sounds like Alan Jackson with this song.

Lauren sang " Anyway" by Martina McBride. She had a good performance. But to me she still sounds like she is singing karaoke.

The next type of song has to be written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller;

Haley sang " I Who Have Nothing" by Jordin Sparks. This was an awesome performance by her. The whole audience was standing during the whole song. It was great.

Scotty sang " Youngblood" by The Coasters. This was an awesome performance by him. You could tell he was having a blast with this song. I loved it.

Lauren sang " Trouble" by Elvis. This performance was really good. This was not one of her better performances by her.

James sang " Love Potion Number 9" by The Searchers. This is another one of his awesome performances. You could tell he was having a great time with this song.

The Special Guests are;
Enrigue Iglesias
Jordin Sparks
Lady Gaga as the mentor
Steven Tyler's debut video

There was 72 million people that voted this week.

This week they did a Top 3 and they are -
Lauren
Haley
Scotty

Eliminated
James

This is why I am saying this week is a sad week for me. I was really hoping for James to win. He has been doing an awesome job with all of his songs. I think Lauren should have gone home instead.

I would really like to hear your thoughts on this!

My Revue on Almanzo Wilder!

I know I have done the revue on the Farmer Boy book. Then someone mentioned to me about Almanzo having more siblings. Then after doing some research I found out that these siblings were never mentioned in the Farmer Boy book. So I decided to write this about Almanzo so everyone had the chance to know a little more about him.

Almanzo James Wilder was born on February 13, 1857 in Malone New York and he passed away on October 23, 1949 in Mansfield Missouri at the age of 92.

He married Laura Ingalls Wilder and he was the father to Rose Wilder Lane.

He was the fifth child to James Wilder ( 1813-1899) and Angeline Day Wilder (1821-1905) both were farmers. His siblings are Laura Ann (1844-1899), Royal Gould  (1847-1925), Eliza Jane ( 1850-1930), Alice M ( 1853- 1892), Perley Day (1869- 1934).

The two siblings not mentioned in the books are Laura Ann she is the oldest out of the children and Perley Day is the youngest out of the children. About Laura Ann is they didn't want to confuse the readers with the two Laura's. When they moved out to Spring Valley Laura Ann spent most of her time by her aunt and uncle's house. But Laura Ann and Laura Ingalls did meet and did do sewing together. After Laura Ann's husband passed away she moved down to Louisiana by Eliza Jane.  The only thing I could find on Perley Day is that he had moved to Louisiana also. He did marry and had children.

In 1875 the Wilder's left Malone New York to head out wet due to crop failure. They settled in Spring Valley Minnesota in 1879. Almanzo was 22 years old. Almanzo, Royal and Eliza Jane moved to Dakota Territory buying land there. Later it would be called De Smet South Dakota. He settled on his homestead with the intent to harvest acres of wheat. This is were he first met Laura Ingalls.

Laura was 15 years old and Almanzo was 25 years old when they began courting. Three years later they married on August 25, 1885. They lived on Almanzo's land and began their own farming operations. The on December 5, 1886 they had Rose.

In 1888 while Rose was still a baby Almanzo and Laura were stricken with Diphtheria they both survived. Almanzo suffered from a less common illness called " Neuritis" and part of his lower limbs were temporarily paralyzed. When he got better he still needed a cane to walk.

In 1889 Laura gave birth to a son and in early August there son remained unnamed and two weeks later he passed away of convulsions. The same month they lost there home and there crops caused by a drought.

In 1890 they moved to Spring Valley Missouri and lived with Almanzo's family. Then from 1891-1892 the moved to Westville Florida in hope it would help Almanzo regain strength with the warm weather. They moved back to De Smet South Dakota in 1892. They rented a house in town and they lived near Laura's parents and Rose was able to start school early.

On Jully 17, 1894 they moved to the Ozarks of Missouri.  They seen a brochure of " The land of the Big Red Apple". On August 30 they arrived near Mansfield Missouri and put $100 down payment on 40 acres. The land was all hills and Rocks undeveloped land. That is how Laura named it " Rocky Ridge Farm".This was there final home for 20 years. There luck has changed for the better and they were happy and successful. Laura got her dream home that Almanzo built and he built custom cabinets. The farm eventually expanded to 200 acres of poultry, dairy, fruit, horses and goats. They were every active with the community and church.

Almanzo spent his last year tending to a small vegetable and flower garden and doing his wood work, carpentry and tending to his goats. He also aided his wife with greeting car loads of Little House Fans that found there way to Rocky Ridge farm. When Almanzo passed away he suffered from two heart attacks.

Many of Almanzo's possessions and handiwork can be seen at Rocky Ridge Farm and at the Laura Ingalls Wilder/Rose Wilder Lane museums as well as the Malone, New York and Spring Valley Minnesota museums.

Rose's book called Free Land is based on Almanzo Wilder.

Foghat Album Revue!

I was asked by my boyfriend to do an album revue. He would like  to see how an album revue would turn out for me. So here it is.

I decided to write about Foghat and the album I chose is " Fool For The City".

I chose this album because I really like the music on it. I also just like all of there earlier music. I remember listening to this album when I was younger. I use to sing to it and dance around to the music.

I am sitting here listening to the music while I am writing this and I can't believe how great it sounds. I listened to one version without Dave on here and it just doesn't sound the same. Then I listen to the studio version compared to the live version. I just love the live version to the music. It is because they just add a little more to the music they also make the songs a little longer.

To me the studio version's just sound to muffled to me. It just doesn't sound like the singers on it.

The songs I love on this album are Fool for the City, My Babe, Slow Ride and Drive Me Home. I think these are great songs from this album. The music on it is awesome to me. I just love Foghat's music a lot.

I am going to leave you with the only live version to a song I can find from 1978. I really wish I could have found the title track song in  a live version but I couldn't. So here it is and I hope you like my revue about this album.

My Revue on Little House on the Prairie!

I finally finished reading the Little House on the Prairie book. I couldn't believe it has taken me this long to read it. I was trying to read in the evening but other things happened. I hope you all like the revue.

Pa decided to move out west because there was to many people in the big woods now. So Pa took the family to Indian Territory in Kansas. They all had to say good bye to Grandma, Grandpa, the Aunts and Uncles and Cousins. Then they all got in the wagon and left. They had to cross the lake before it started to thaw out. As they were crossing the lake you could hear it start to crack.

When they came to a creek it didn't look to bad. So Pa started crossing the creek and then he realized it was deep and started to run real fast. He didn't think of putting the dog in the wagon at the time. Half way across the creek Pa had to get out of the wagon and guide the horses across. They finally made it to the other side but no one seen the dog. They all figured the dog had floated down river. Later that night when the set camp and the girls were going to bed Laura seen eyes looking at her in the dark. Pa picked up his rifle and pointed at the animal and the animal came closer and Pa realized it was there dog.

The next morning they started on the road again. Then Pa found a prairie and it was close to a real good creek. He said they would settle here and make this home. He said this would make for real good crops. The next day Pa went to get logs to start building the house. Then the next day Pa and Ma started to build the house when they were half way done a log fell and it sprained Ma's ankle. Pa had to go and get more logs for the house and while he was getting the logs he met a neighbor Mr. Edwards. Then Mr. Edwards said he would help Pa finish the house and the stable.

Then Pa had gone to the creek with the horses another day and he met another neighbor Mr Smith. Mr Smith said he would help Pa dig a well so they didn't have to go to the creek all the time.

Pa had met some men moving cattle and they told Pa he could help them and they would give him a cow. So he went home and told Ma and she said it sounds like a good idea. So the next morning Pa went and helped them and he came home with a cow and a calf. The men said they couldn't separate them.

I was starting to get cold and Pa said he had to go to town to trade his furs for supplies. Pa was hunting for furs so he could trade them. While Pa was gone he had asked Mr. Edwards to come and help Ma with the chores. So the next morning Pa left early for town. He was gone for four days and Mr. Edwards came and helped Ma with the chores. When Pa came home he had all the supplies that Ma wanted he also had gotten glass for the windows so it would stay warm in the house.

Then it was Christmas and Mary and Laura was afraid Santa would not know were to find them. Mr. Edwards was asked to Christmas dinner but Pa said the creek was running to fast for anyone to cross. So Ma and Pa said that Mr Edwards wouldn't make it. Then there was a knock on the door and it was Mr. Edwards. He said he was to town and seen Santa. The girls asked him if he was sure it was Santa and he said yes. He also told the girls that Santa asked him if he knew the girls and Mr Edwards said yes. Then Santa asked him if he could bring them there presents because he knew that they were very good girls. So Mr Edwards told Santa he would make sure the girls got there presents. He also brought sweet potatoes for dinner.

Then it started to warm up and Pa had to make another trip to town. This time he had to get a plow so he could plow the field. He brought more furs to trade for it and he had to get more supplies. While Pa was gone some Indians started to camp down by the creek. Then one night they started to make a lot of noise and scared Mary and Laura. It was the Indians war songs. Pa said that the Indians want to get the white man off of Indian Territory. Then about a week later Pa was going to go outside to plow the field and he called Ma, Mary and Laura to the door. It was like a parade of Indians going right pass the house. They were all leaving from down by the creek.

The next morning Pa came from the field with Mr. Edwards and Mr. Smith. Mr Smith told Pa that the soldiers were coming and moving the people off the Indian's land. So Pa told Mr. Smith he was leaving the next morning and said that Mr. Smith could have the plow and the cows. Mr. Edwards said he was leaving and Pa told him to go with them. Mr Edwards said he is taking his boat and going south. That afternoon Pa put the cover on the wagon again. The next morning Pa and Ma packed the wagon and they went towards Missouri.

This is my revue of the book and I hope everyone likes it. I don't have the next book I am going to the library to get it today. So hopefully I will have the next book revue very soon for everyone.

My Revue on Kansas!

I have been meaning to write about this band for about a week. I just have come up with different ideas instead. So this morning I figured I would just get this one out to everyone.

This is an American Rock Band and the band came from Topeka Kansas. The type of music for them is Progressive Rock and Hard Rock.

The past band members are- Dave Hope on bass, Phil Ehart on drums and percussion, Kerry Livgren on guitar, keyboards and synthesizers,  Lynn Meredith on vocals, Don Montre on key boards, Dan Wright on keyboards, Larry Baker on Saxphone.

A year earlier  Meredith, Montre, Wright and Livgren were in a band called " The Reason Why". Then they changed the name to " Saratoga" they started playing Livgren's original material with Scott Kessler on bass and Zeke Lowe on drums.

In 1970 they changed the band's name again to Kansas. In 1974 the debut album was called Kansas and they released it. This was about a year after it was recorded. The band found it's signature style of American Style, Boogie Rock and Complex.

In 1976 on there fourth album "Leftoverture" they had a single hit called " Carry on Wayward Son". Then in 1977 from the album called "Point of Know Return" they had another single called " Dust in the Wind". Both singles were certified Gold Singles also selling over one million copies each. Leftoverture was certified five time platinum in 2001.

In 1978 Then band had sold out concerts being the headlining act. They also had a new album called " Two for the Show". This was a live double album from there 1977 and 1978 shows. The band was also named UNICEF deputy Ambassadors of Goodwill. In 1979 the next album was called " Monoth" this was another live album. The top 40 single was " People of the Southwind" . This album went Platinum.

In the early 1980 they started to add christian music to the album's. This was Livgren starting a born again christian. The next three albums show this like the album called " Audio-Visions". In 1982 They released " Vinyl Confessions" was there first successful album since the album "Point of Know Return".

In 1983 They released " Drastic Measures". This album had three christian songs on it. This album went to number three on the Mainstream Billboard Rock Charts. This was the highest the band ever made it. In 1985 The band had a new line up . They also release a album in 1986 called " Power". In 1988 they released a album called " In the Spirit of Things".

On July 28, 1986 Kansas was inducted into the Rock Walk of Fame in Hollywood. In 2000 Kansas was the opening act for the band Yes. This was during Yes tour called " Masterworks". On May 13,2011 The band will be at Glasgow, Kentucky at the Plaza Theater.

The present members of the band are-
Phil Ehart - Drums
Billy Greer - Bass
Ricky Williams - Guitar
Steve Walsh - Singer and Songwriter
David Ragsdale - Violin

The band is still recording and touring. I think they have had a great career and will be around for a very long time still. Yes there earlier music was really good and that is the music I do like from the band. I do like some of the later music but not as much. I hope everyone likes this revue of Kansas.

My Revue on Elvis!

Born Elvis Aaron Presley January 8, 1935 and he passed away on August 16, 1977 at the age of 42. He was born in Tupelo, Mississippi then his family moved to Memphis, Tennessee when he was 13 years old.

Elvis did have a twin brother his name is Jesse Garon Presley he was born 35 minutes before Elvis. Jesse was born stillborn. Elvis was an only child and formed a very tight relationship with his mom.

The type of music he sang was Rock and Roll, Pop, Rockabilly, Country, Blues, Gospel and R&B.

He was a Musician and an Actor.
The instruments he played are Guitar and Piano.
He was the most popular singer of the 20th century. He is well known at the "King of Rock and Roll".

On his 11th birthday he had gotten his very first guitar. His uncle's and his pastor was giving him lessons on the guitar. Elvis was described as crazy about his music in 6th grade. Slim's younger brother worked at a radio station and brought Elvis there to perform to get the shyness away. By the second time going to the radio station it had worked. Then Elvis and his family had moved to Memphis and his music teacher said he had no aptitude for singing. The next day he brought his guitar to school and sang " Keep Them Cold Ice Fingers Off Me". He had gotten in trouble for singing that song in school. Then Elvis had three jobs to help his mom pay the bills. He was also entered in a talent show in 1953. The people rumbled because they didn't know that he could sing. After the talent show he was amazed how popular he became then.

Elvis never had any formal music lessons. He didn't know how to read the notes for music at all. He studied and played by ear. He listened to records at the record store with the jukebox and listening booths. The music he listened to  was Hank Snow, Roy Acuff, Ernest Tubb, Ted Daffan, Jimmy Rodgers, Jimmy Davis and Bob Wills.

In August 1953 Elvis walked into Sun Records and wanted to have a few minutes of studio time to record two songs for his mom. The names of the songs are "My Happiness" and " That's When Your Heartaches Begin". He was hoping to be noticed while recording the songs. Sun Records boss Sam Phillips said to write his name down to the secretary.

Elvis career started in 1954 with Sun Records and with owner Sam Phillips. The music was accompanied by guitarist Scotty Moore, Bassist Bill Black. Elvis is one of the originators of Rockabilly, an up tempo back beat-driven of Country and Rhythm and Blues. RCA Victor acquired his contract in a deal arranged by Colonel Tom Parker which would be Elvis manager for many years. The first single for Elvis is " Heartbreak Hotel". This was released in January 1956 and was a number one hit.

On March 24, 1958 Elvis was enlisted into the US Army as a private at Fort Chaffee near Fort Smith Arkansas. The media and fans were there when he stepped off the bus. Reporters followed him on base. Elvis told  the officers he didn't want to be treated any different from anyone else. Elvis did his basic training at Fort Hood Texas. After basic training he had a two week leave and he went to Nashville to cut five songs. The he returned to Fort Hood and in August his mother was diagnosed with Hepatitis and her condition got worse. Elvis has and emergency leave to go and visit her. Elvis arrived on August 12th and two days later his mom passed away at age 46.

On October 1st he was in Friedberg Germany. This is were he was introduced to amphetamines. This was not for energy but it was for strength and weight loss. He donated his Army pay to charities. While in Germany he met 14 year old Priscella Beaulieu. After seven in half years of courtship they married.

Then March 2,1960 Elvis returned wtih honorable discharge and was ranked as a Sergeant. On March 20th at RCA Nashville Studio He cut tracks for a new album with the single " Stuck On You" and that went to number one. G.I. Blues the soundtrack was the first film for Elvis since he was home.

In February 1964 Elvis performed tow shows at a benefit event in Memphis on behalf of 24 Charities. He was also presented a plaque by RCA for selling of 75 million copies Worldwide.

His movie career started on 1960 with " Flaming Star" and " Wild in the Country" in 1961. He made 27 movies in the 1960's. The most popular movies are "Viva Las Vegas" Crying In The Chapel" and " How Great Thou Art". The movie " How Great Thou Art" won a Grammy for Elvis.

On February 1 1968 his daughter Lisa Marie was born. This was a time he was deeply unhappy with his career. So in late June Elvis recorded a Christmas special and it would be shown on NBC on December 3rd. For this show he sang with power that people no longer expect of Rock and Roll singers, the way he moved his body with a lack of pretension and effort. This was a great show to watch for Christmas. January 1969 the single " If I Can Dream" reached number twelve. Then the soundtrack for the special went into the top ten.

Then on October 9,1973 Elvis and Priscella had gotten a divorce. Elvis's health was becoming unwell. He had overdosed twice with barbiturates. He had spent three days in a comma the first time in his hotel suite. The end of 1973 he was hospitalized from the effects of Demerol. In 1973 Elvis had done 168 concerts. Despite his health failing in 1974 he had another busy year touring. During this tour he could hardly stand and you could tell he was all drugged up. But each show was a sellout crowd to see him.

Then in 1977 he was really overweight, his mind was dulled by pharmacopoeia he took daily. He could barely pull himself through a concert. In Alexandria, Louisiana you could not understand a word he was singing. He never showed up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. June 26 was his final concert in Market Square Arena in Indianapolis. On August 1st the three body guards that his dad fired wrote a book called "Elvis: What Happened". Elvis suffered from Glaucoma, High Blood Pressure, Liver Damage and an Enlarged Colon from drug abuse. On August 16, 1977 his girlfriend Ginger Alden went to get Elvis because he was suppose to start a new tour. Ginger found him laying on the bathroom floor unresponsive. She tried to revive him and she could not. Elvis was pronounced dead at 3:30pm at Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was layed to rest on August 18,1977. There was over 80,000 people lined for the processional route to Forest Hill Cemetery

Then one of Elvis cousin's Billy Mann decided to take a picture while the coffin was open for the National Enquirer so he could get $18,000. Then his girlfriend Ginger gave her story about Elvis so she could get $105,000. These are some really greedy people.

I will end this by saying that Elvis had a great career and I do love his music. I am proud to say that a great person served in the Army just like my dad did too. .

Our 1st Year Together!

This year has been the best year I have had in a very long time. One year ago today I started to talk to the most wonderful man in the world. Before this we were talking on the internet but a year ago today we started to talk on the phone.

When I first seen his picture I was kind of thinking back and forth if I wanted to really talk to him. Then one day he gave me his phone number and told me to call him. I was at the college up in Shawano Wi and I told him I would call him when I got home. He said alright but we kept talking on messenger until I left the college. I gave him my number so he would know who was calling him. When I got home I did call him and we were on the phone talking for about two hours. I told him I had to go in the house and make dinner and we could talk later. He said alright and then he did call me back later that night to talk some more before he went to bed.

The first time I met him in person was a month later. To my surprise looking back at the dates on the calendar it was exactly a month later. We met on June 4th and we had dinner together. When I first seen him it was like a feeling inside of me knew he was the one I wanted to be with. It was a safe secure feeling I had never had before. I can tell you now from seeing him in a picture and seeing him in person he does look a lot better in person then in a picture. During dinner we were talking getting to know each other more and laughing and joking around. I really enjoyed being with him. Because I could be myself and not have to worry about trying to impress him. I told him on the phone that I like to joke around and he said so does he. That night he knew how to get me to laugh and smile.

The next week was his birthday. All week long I kept telling him that I really missed seeing him and he said the same thing to me. I begged him to come up so I could see him for his birthday and finally he gave in to me. I told him that I could not go and see him because I had to work that Saturday with karaoke. So him and his son came up and that was the first time I met his son. They both met my youngest daughter, my Mom and my Sister.  I was able to see him for a few hours on Friday when he first came up then he went to his parents for the weekend. Then on that Saturday I went to his parents and met his Mom, Dad, Sister and Brother in law. His family is really nice and we all talked for a little while then  the two of us just went for a walk by ourselves. When we got back his Sister and Brother in law had left. So his Mom, Dad, Him and I were talking for a while longer then I had to leave to go and get karaoke set up. He came to see me at the bar for a little while that night. Then on Sunday on his was back home he came to see me and we spent more time together. I was really enjoying this. It was him, his son, my daughter and I we all went to the flee market. We all really enjoyed this a lot and then after we went there we went to my sons so he could meet my son and his girlfriend. Then we went back to my place and he had to leave to go home so he could get ready for work.

Then we were talking on the phone and texting each other after he left. I remember one day I was texting him and he was at work in the lunch room and he said I got him caught by his boss because I made him smile. I told him that is not my fault that he smiled at the wrong time. One day he asked me if I could come down by him to go to Summerfest with him and see Rush. I told him I had to see if my daughter could go and stay with my son while I was down there. So I went down by him on June 29th and I went back home on July 6th. I spent about a week down by him and I really enjoyed myself a lot. He was off work on his vacation at the time. We went two nights to Summerfest, we also seen the Presidents motorcade and he showed me different places by him. When I went to leave to go home while I was on the highway driving all I could think about was I just wanted to turn my car around and go back to him.

I didn't mention this in the beginning I was living with my younger sister in Shawano. I was having problems with her because she told me one day she didn't want to hear my boyfriends name mentioned in the house anymore. On July 13th my sister and I got into an argument and I was talking to my boyfriend on the phone he asked me what was wrong and I told him. He said why don't  you and your daughter pack some stuff up and you come down here tomorrow for the weekend. I had a doctors appointment in the morning when I went to leave the house I told my sister I was going down by my boyfriend and all she did was yell at me. Then after my doctors appointment I went to the store to get some groceries to take with us. I have been living down here with him ever since.

We have been to both families for the holidays. When I go by his family they make me feel like you are part of the family. When we went up there I asked his Mom if she wanted me to bring something and she said no. His family made me feel so at home by them. I love his family just as much as I love my own family. My family never pushed my boyfriend or his son away either. They made them feel like part of the family.

From last year to now I can tell everyone that I am the happiest woman in the world. I have the most wonderful man in the world. He  makes me very happy, he loves me just as much as I love him, he cares about the way I feel, I can talk to him about anything, he worries about me, he calls me on his breaks and his lunch and  he is so handsome.  My family says they have not seen me this happy in a very long time. I will never stop loving my boyfriend he is the sweetest man in the world.

My Revue on Rose Wilder Lane!

Rose Wilder Lane was born on December 5th, 1886 in De Smet, Dakota Territory. She Passed Away on October 30th, 1968 in Danbury Conneticut at the age of 81. She  was an American Journalist, Travel Writer, Novelist and Political Theorist. She was noted as one of the founding mothers of the American Libertarian Movement.

Rose was the first child to Laura and Almanzo Wilder. She is also the only Grandchild to Charles and Caroline Ingalls. The family had their fair share of hardship with crops failure, illnesses and chronic economic hardships. Her family moved a lot while she was younger to Minnesota, Florida, De Smet South Dakota and to Mansfield Missouri. When they got to Mansfield Missouri this was the last time they had moved and this was home since 1894. Rose went to high school in Mansfield and in Crowley Louisiana. In Crowley her Aunt Eliza Jane was a teacher there. So Rose lived with Eliza Jane's family. Rose graduated in Crowley in 1904 and she graduated at the top of her class. Rose took three years of Latin in one school year. Rose was never able to go to college after high school because her parents just didn't have the money for her at the time.

So after high school  Rose went back home to the farm. For the next five years after high school Rose worked as a Telegraph Operator at the Railroad Station. Then before she was 18 years old she moved to Kansas City being a Telegraph Operator there.

In 1909 Rose married Clare Gillette Lane. He was a salesman and occasional newspaperman. Around 1910 Rose had a son he was either still born or died shortly after birth. Rose had complications with her surgery and she was never able to have anymore children. The next few years Rose and Clare travel for various marketing and promotional schemes around the US. She would write to her Ma and Pa telling them that she was really happy. But the truth was she was really depressed and she even tried to commit suicide by drugging herself with chloroform. But luckily that didn't work she just woke up with a really bad headache.

1912-1914 Rose was one of the earliest female Real Estate Agents in California. Rose and Clare sold property separately for more of the commissions. Rose sold more than her husband did. The job cause a lot of separation for them. This cause a lot of trouble for there marriage and they ended up getting a divorce. After the divorce Rose did see other men but she never married again.

In 1915 Rose had not sold any property because of the World War happening. One of her friends had gotten her a journalist job with the San Fransisco Bulletin. The job she was doing was called the stopgap job. But then the editors seen her work and then all of a sudden Rose's photo's and bylines were running in the  Bulletin. She wrote about the lives of Henry Ford, Charlie Chan, Jack London and Herbert Hoover. During this year her Ma came for a visit to see her. At this time Rose and Clare were either separated or divorced and Clare was just living there for the time. But Rose never had the heart at the time to tell her Ma that she was getting a divorce.

In 1918 Rose quit her job at the paper and her divorce was finalized. Rose became a free-lance writer from 1918-1940. Rose's work would show  up in Harper's, Saturday Evening Post, Sunset, Good House Keeping and Ladies Home Journal. Several of her short stories were nominated for the O Henry Prizes and a few novels became top sellers. In 1920 Rose became one of the highest paid female writers in America. She also had Bipolar Disorder. She had real bad depression in her mid life. She could not finish any of her own writing. So she would do ghostwriting for the other writers to edit there work.

In 1930 Rose went home for a visit to Ma and Pa's. Rose read a rough draft of Laura's about the hard childhood in the pioneer land. Rose then realized that her mom could write like her. It is a shame Laura didn't write sooner. Rose helped her Ma get her manuscripts published. No one knows if Rose had part in editing any of the chapters for Laura or not. Rose was at the house and a cousin of her Ma and her's came for a visit. But her Ma was busy writing her second book. The whole family was really proud of Laura for writing these books. They never thought she would become this famous for writing the books.

In 1940 Rose lived in Danbury Connecticut. She bought land a few mile away from Danbury. It was a rural area. Rose had to cut her expenses to the bare minimum to live a modern-day life like her ancestors lived. She did not believe in paying income taxes. A friend of Rose's Isabel Peterson talked Rose to moving to Danbury.

In 1957 Laura had passed away. The town people put together a non-profit corporation to buy the house and the farm for a museum. The money the town was going to pay Rose for the house she had the town keep it for the up keep of the house and the farm. Rose also donated many of the families belongings to the museum.

Rose had become an adoptive grandmother to Roger MacBride. Roger is best know as the Libertarian Party's 1976 Candidate for President. Roger was the son of one of Rose's editors. Rose and Roger became close friends when Roger was little. In edition to being close friends he was her Attorney and Business Manager. He also became the heir of the Little House Series when Rose passed away. After inheriting the rights to the work of Laura and Rose  Roger agreed to the commercialization of the Little house t.v. series. Roger also was the author of "The Rose Years" the Little House series. This was about Rose growing up from age seven to nineteen.

Rose did pass away in her home in her sleep on October 30th 1968. She was 81 years old.
