American Idol Judges!

Yes I decided to write about the judges from this season. Because they are a big part of this show and what they have to say about the contestants is very important.

Randy- He has been on this show since it started in 2002. One thing I can say is he does not pick his favorites. Yes he did say to a couple of them that he really liked them. But he was saying to a lot of them that they are in it to win it. I really like Randy because he really does tell you how it is. If he don't like you he will come right out and say it and not beat around the bush. I think he is very honest with them. He is an awesome judge!

Jennifer- She just came on the show this season. She did have a couple of favorites on the show and she did let them know that. To me that is not how you should be on this type of a show. I also don't think you shouldn't be debuting your own music video on the show. Maybe I am wrong in this part but that is how I think. You are there as a judge not for your own music. But yes she did let the contestants know if they were doing something wrong with there songs. I do give her that. She was alright for a judge!

Steven- He just came on the show this season. He was so funny on here and I loved it. Yes he did have his favorites on here too and he did let them know that. But yes he did let the contests know if they were doing something wrong and he let them know if they were awesome. Sometimes with how he would say it I was sitting here laughing so hard. I just hope he comes back next season I think he made the show with Randy. Steven is an awesome judge!

Ryan- He has been on the show since 2002 as the host. I think he is awesome as the host. I really like when he starts to pick on the judges about what they say to the contestants. When Simon was there they would really go at it and I would sit here and just laugh at them. But he is really good with all the contestants. That is what I really like about Ryan.!

Jimmy- He just started this year as a partner to the show. But he has been on here before as a mentor to the contestants. He does an awesome job helping the contestants with there songs choices. He will let them know if that is a good song choice for them or he will let them just do the song and see how it goes for them. I remember one song for James he didn't want James to do the song but it ended up being a great choice for James. Jimmy is also a producer for a lot of singers. I really hope to see him next season on here again!

American Idol!

Well this week was Season 10 finale. I can say this was an awesome finale show. It was the best one that they have had. So many special guests this year a lot of great songs for the finale.

Over 122 million votes for the finale and for the youngest finale finalists.

On Tuesday's show they said that Lauren had blew out a vocal cord and was on medicine for it. This happened during rehearsal.

Round 1- There favorite songs
Scotty sang "Gone" by Montgomery Gentry. This was awesome like the first time he sang it. He has so much fun with this song.
Lauren sang "Flat on the Floor" by Carrie Underwood. It was alright but not her best. You do have to consider about what happened during rehearsal.

Round 2- Celebrity Picks
Scotty had George Strait to pick for him and he sang "Check Yes or No". Another awesome performance with a great song. He can sing any song that you give him.
Lauren had Carrie Underwood to pick her song and she sang "Maybe it was Memphis" by Pam Tillis. She had a really good performance with this song. She did do better.

Round 3- A Single for the person who wins.
Scotty sang "I Love You This Big". This performance was great and I really love this song for him.
Lauren sang "Like My Mother Does". This was a good performance. I really like the song for her.

The Judges picks are Round 1- Scotty, Round 2 Lauren, Round 3 Lauren. Jennifer did not pick for round 3.

To end the show David Cook sang " Don't you forget about me". I just enjoy listening to him sing so much. He has an awesome voice.

Then on Wednesday was an awesome show. To get it started the top 13 sang "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga.

James with Judas Priest sang " Living After Midnight" and "Breaking The Law". This was really awesome.

Jacob, Kirk Franklin and Gladys Knight sang "I Smile". This was really good.

Casey and Jack Black sang "Fat Bottom Girls". I really liked this. They had a lot of fun with the song.

Top 13 Ladies and Beyounce sang a mixture of different songs.

Haley and Tony Bennett sang "Steppin Out". This was awesome. You could tell that they both enjoyed singing together.

TLC, Top13 Ladies and Lil John sang "Scrubs". This was alright but not kind of music.

Scotty and Tim McGraw sang "Live Like Your Dying". This was awesome to see them sing together. Tim is the most played artist on the radio for the last 10 years.

Marc Anthony- He was singing in Spanish. I don't know the name of the song.

Top 13 Guys sang "Kiss", "She's a Lady", "What's up pussy cat" and with Tom Jones "It's not Unusual".

Lady Gaga sang "Edge of Glory".

Lauren and Carrie Underwood sang "Before He Cheats". This was really good. I love this song.

Beyounce sang "1 plus 1".


Reeve Carney, Bono and The Edge sang "Rise Above" from Spiderman. Bono and The Edge are the composers for the song.

Steven Tyler sang "Dream On" as always he is awesome singing. I really love Aerosmiths music.

The Winner is Scotty and to end the show he sang "I Love You This Big". He was laughing and crying while he sang the song. I was so happy that he won.

American Idol will be back on in January. So I hope everyone liked my revue for the show and I will be back in January to start all over.

American Idol!

There are only three contests this week. I can't believe it is almost over. They each had to sing three songs this week. I did miss the first songs for Scotty and Lauren. I am really sorry.

There was 95 million votes this week. 

Haley's first song " What Is and What Should Never Be" by Led Zeppelin. She did an awesome job on this song. She also had fun singing it. Her dad was on stage with here playing the guitar.

The second songs that they sang were pick out by Jimmy.

Scotty sang "Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not" by Thompson Square. He was playing his guitar and he did an awesome performance. I really liked that song for him.

Lauren sang "If I Die Young" by Perry. She had a good performance not one of her best ones. This did show her voice really good.

Haley sang " Rhiannon" by Fleetwood Mac. This was another awesome performance. She hit the notes just like Stevie Nicks. I really loved this one.

The third songs the judges picked.

Scotty sang " She Believes In Me"  by Kenny Rogers. This was another one of his awesome performances. I really liked this song for him.

Lauren sang " I Hope You Dance" by Lee ann Womack.  This performance was alright. She did do a good job with the song.

Haley sang " You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morissette. Another awesome performance by her. She had a really great time with this song on stage.

The judges picked someone from each round that they thought was a winner.
Round one went to Haley.
Round two went to Scotty.
Round three went to Lauren.

Beyounce was the mentor this week.

Guest singers were Il Volo and Italian group. Nichole Scherwwzner with 50 cent.

Haley is from Wheeling Illinois.
Scotty is from Garner Texas.
Lauren is from Georgia and Tennessee border.

When Scotty was back home singing on stage Josh Turner surprised him and came up on stage and they sang together.

The Top Two are Lauren and Scotty.
Eliminated was Haley.

Next week is going to start on Tuesday night and on Wednesday will be the finale.

American Idol 2011!

This week was really a sad one for me. You will find out by the end of this post.

May 24th will be the Season Finale. I know that is one show I will not miss.

There are only four contestants left this week and they have to sing two songs.

The first type of song they have to sing is Inspirational;

James sang " Don't Stop Believing" By Journey. This was another awesome performance by him. If you listen to this he almost sounds like Steve Perry singing this song and I loved it.

Haley sang " Earth Song" By Micheal Jackson. She did an awesome job with this performance. I just love her voice.

Scotty sang " Where Were You When The World Stop Turning" by Alan Jackson. His performance was awesome too. He can sing his country songs really great. He sounds like Alan Jackson with this song.

Lauren sang " Anyway" by Martina McBride. She had a good performance. But to me she still sounds like she is singing karaoke.

The next type of song has to be written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller;

Haley sang " I Who Have Nothing" by Jordin Sparks. This was an awesome performance by her. The whole audience was standing during the whole song. It was great.

Scotty sang " Youngblood" by The Coasters. This was an awesome performance by him. You could tell he was having a blast with this song. I loved it.

Lauren sang " Trouble" by Elvis. This performance was really good. This was not one of her better performances by her.

James sang " Love Potion Number 9" by The Searchers. This is another one of his awesome performances. You could tell he was having a great time with this song.

American Idol 2011!

This is your Top 5 this week. It is getting harder to pick who you think will win.

The theme this week was Classic and Current Music.

Current Songs-
James sang "Closer To The Edge" by 30 Second to Mars. As always he had an awesome performance. He is in it to win it all.
Jacob sang "No Air" by Jodin Sparks and Chris Brown. This was not one of his better performances. He could have picked a better song for himself.
Lauren sang " Flat on the Floor" by Carrie Underwood. This is one of her better performances. She has found her zone finally.
Scotty sang "Gone" by Montgomery Gentry. This was another awesome performance by him. He also knows how to work the stage and was in his zone.
Haley sang "You and I" by Lady Gaga. This was a really great performance. She really knows how to take a chance on different songs.

Classic Songs-
James sang "Without You" by Harry Nilsson. This was another really awesome performance. This was also really emotional for him to sing which made it better.
Jacob sang "Love Hurts" by Nazareth. This was not one of his best performances. Both of his songs tonight were really bad choices for him.
Lauren sang "Unchained Melody" by Righteous Brothers. This was another really good performance for her. She is really starting to pick the right songs for herself.
Scotty sang "Always On My Mind" by Elvis. This was another awesome performance. He is really in his zone and in it to win it all.
Haley sang "House Of The Rising Sun" by The Animals. This was another awesome performance. She is really showing that she is in it to win it too.

American Idol 2011!

The theme for this week was Carole King songs. Baby Face was helping with the songs at rehearsal. Miley Cyrus showed up for Lauren's rehearsal.

Jacob sang "Oh No, Not My Baby". The performance was alright. But he sang the song a little bit to loud.

Lauren sang "Where You Lead". This was not one of her better performances. She was trying way to hard.

Scotty sang "You've Got A Friend". This was a great performance. He made the song his own like always.

James sang "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow". As usual an awesome performance. He can sing any song and make it his own.

Casey sang "Hi-De-Ho'. This was a different song he made it his own. Really good performance.

Haley sang "Beautiful". Another awesome performance by her. She really knows how to make a song her own.

The Duets that they did-

Casey and Haley sang " I Feel The Earth Move". They did an awesome job with the performance. They can really sing together.

Scotty and Lauren sang "Up On The Roof". This was a really good performance. They really sing good together.

James and Jacob sang "I'm Into Something Good". This was a good performance. But for them to sing together I did not like.

Special guests- Crystal Bowersox she sang "Riding With The Radio". I really like this song for her. It was great to see her again.

Bruno Mars sorry I did not catch his performance.

American Idol 2011!

I know this is really late. My computer went down last week and we had to take it in last thursday to get it fixed. Then we were gone for Easter.

So here is the Top 7 for last week. The theme for it was 21st Century music.
Scotty sang Swing by Leanne Rimes. This was an awesome performance. I loved it especially when he got his deep voice in it.
James sang Uprising by Muse. Like always he did had an awesome performance. This is his best performance yet and I love it. 
Haley sang Rolling in the Deep by Adele. Really good performance. I always like it when she makes the song her own.
Jacob sang Dance with my Father by Luther Van Dross. When he first started to sing I thought he was going to lose it. But he surprised me that he came back. This was a real emotional song for him to do.
Casey sang Hard to Breathe by Maroon 5. Good performance not one of his best ones. He has a real different style of music.
Stefano sang Closer by Ne-Yo. This was a good performance but not his best. He is getting more confident on the stage.
Lauren sang Born to Fly by Sara Evans. This was alright not her best performance. She is staying in a safe zone. She needs to find a song that will really show her voice. She sounds more like a karaoke singer.

Special guests this week- David Cook and Katy Perry.

Bottom three- Jacob, Stefano and Haley.

Eliminated was Stefano.

Amerian Idol!

This week on American Idol was really good. The theme for this week was Movie Theme Week.

Paul sang Old Time Rock and Roll by Bob Seger. He did sing it pretty good. But the only problem I had with it was he sang the refrain to much.

Lauren sang The Climb by Miley Cyrus. This wasn't one of her better performances. I think she could have picked a better song.

Stefano sang End of the Road by Boyz 2 Men. This was one of his better performances. He did a really good job on this song and he really surprised me.

Scotty sang I Cross My Heart by George Strait. He did an awesome job with this song. I think this was his best performance yet. I love this song and the movie.

Casey sang Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Another great performance by Casey. He had his upright bass and did an awesome job this week.

Haley sang Call Me by Blondie. This was one of her better performances shows how strong her voice is. I think she has gotten a lot better since she has been here.

Jacob sang Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon and Garfunkel. This week he did a lot better with his performance. He sounded like himself this week.

James sang Heavy Metal by Sammy Hagar. This was an awesome performance and he had Zakk Wylde on the guitar. Zakk is from Black Label Society and Ozzy Ozbourne. James I think will be in the top three this season. He is really good and surprises me every week with a great performance.

This week there was over 53 million people that voted. This is the most this whole season so far.

The special guests were Rihanna and she sang California King Bed. Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson they sang Don't You Wanna Stay.

Casey and Haley- Mony by Billy Idol
James, Paul, Stefano and Jacob- Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel and Mrs. Robinson by Simon and Garfunkel.

The one eliminated this week was Paul.

I know last week I was really upset with Pia being eliminated but I had come to find out she got a record deal during the week. I was really happy to find that out. Good luck Pia with your record deal.

Amerian Idol!

This week on American Idol was a real shock to me. I really didn't like the out come of it. This week the theme was Rock N Roll Hall of Fame music.

There are nine contestants this week and they are
Jacob sang Man in the Mirror by Micheal Jackson. His performance was really good and he made the song more of a gospel version.
Haley sang Piece of my Heart by Janis Joplin. This was a perfect song for her and she had an awesome performance.
Casey sang Have you ever seen the Rain by Credence Clear Revival. He had an awesome performance with the up right bass. He nailed the song great.
Lauren sang Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin. Her performance wasn't one of her better ones. I have seen her sing better. This song wasn't for her.
James sang While my Guitar Gently Weeps by The Beatles. I was a ballad song for him but he did an awesome job with it. This was a great performance.
Scotty sang That's Alright Mama by Elvis. This was one of his best performances I really liked it. He really nailed this song with is voice and performance.
Pia sang River Deep Mountain High by Tina Turner. This was the perfect song for her. She had an awesome performance with this song. I think this was one of her better performances and she nailed it with her voice and performance.
Stephano sang When a Man Love a Woman by Percy Sledge. His performance was alright but not one of his better ones. To me this one was really boring to me.
Paul sang Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash. He made the song his own and it was alright. Wasn't one of his better performances.

The celebrities this week where Constantine and Iggy Pop.

The group sang I Love Rock N Roll and Sweet Home Alabama.

  The bottom three this week are- Stephano, Pia and Jacob.

The one eliminated is Pia.

This was just wrong. She has a stronger voice then the other two. I really think that Stephano should have gone this week. This isn't the first time he was in the bottom three. Pia should have made it into the top five this is how good she is. If people would listen to the way people sing and not the way they look she would have made it. Her is Pia singing this week and everyone let me know what they think of her performance and the way she sings.

Amerian Idol!

Well another week of American Idol has gone by. This week it was a double elimination. Because last week the judges used the one and only save on Casey. So this week meant that it was even harder on the contestants.

They had to sing songs written by Elton John this week. This is how I felt about each singer this week- Scotty did a really great job on his performance with his song. With his deep voice he blew me away and I really like when he acknowledged his grandma in the performance. James- This was an awesome performance for him. He blew me away with going out into the audience and the when the piano went on fire I loved it. Naima- I think she did a great performance this week. I really like how she makes a song for her style of music to sing. Paul- This wasn't one of his better performances this week. I think he could have picked a better song for himself. Jacob- This wasn't a song for him this week. I think it was one of his worse performances this week. Lauren- This was not one of her better performances this week. She could have picked a better song for herself. Haley- This was an awesome performance from her this week. I think it was one of her better performances. Tia- This was one of her better performances this week. The way she sang this week was great she said she was singing to her brother. Casey- This week it was him singing and he did a great job. I think  this was a better performance than last week and was a great save that the judges used. Stephano- This was one of his better performances this week. He did a great job with his song this week. Pia- The song she sang this week she did an awesome job. She blew me away with her voice once again.

The judges liked all of the performances and never had a bad thing to say about any of them. They were all ballads except two performances. I am sorry but that is to many ballads in one show. But with all the ballads there was some really good performances this week.

The celebrity performances this week was Fantasia and Jamie Fox with Will.I.Am.

The bottom three this week were- Naima, Tia and Paul.

The two that were eliminated are Naima and Tia.

Amerian Idol!

I was watching American Idol last night and It gave me the idea to write every week about what has happened. Also to see what everyone's thoughts are with who is being eliminated.

I had taken my daughter to the auditions in Milwaukee back in July. It made for one long day watching everyone audition and how they all practiced there. What is really neat is I met Chris Medina there. He was sitting right behind my daughter and I. I also talk to him in the hallway and I heard him practice out in the hallway. Here are all the audition places they had this year- Nashville Tennessee, Milwaukee Wisconsin, San Francisco California, Austin Texas, East Rutherford New Jersey and New Orleans Louisiana. The ages for the auditions range from 15-28 years old. They just changed the age this year from 16-24 years old for the first three seasons. Then in season four they changed it to 16-28 years old.   

The last three seasons they have been changing the judges. The judges for this season are Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. I think these judges are doing a great job this year. It is so nice not hearing Simon being so negative about every singer. It always seemed like Simon had something bad to say about every singer. Ryan Seacrest has been hosting the show since the first season.

Here is the top 13 that made it out of thousands that tried out. Paul McDonald, Jacob Lusk, Pia Toscano, Naima Adedapo, Lauren Maina, Haley Reinhart, Tia Megia, James Dulbin, Casey Abrams, Stephano Langane, Scotty McCreery, Aston Jones and Karen Rodrieguez.

The Eliminations have been first week was Aston Jones, the second week was Karen Rodrieguez and this week was Casey Abrams. But for this week the judges used the save for Casey. I was really surprised that Casey was even in the bottom three. He sings really good and the instruments that he came play blows me away. I am so happy that they used the save this week. The judges were shocked that Casey was in the bottom three also.

When they start the top 13 there is a theme every week. The first week the singers had to pick a Beatles song. The second week the singers had to pick a song from the year they were born. This week the singers had to pick a song from Motown.  They also have special guests appear every week. This week was Stevie Wonder, Sugarland, Hulk Hogan and Jennifer Hudson.

The Top 11 for the summer tour is going to be Paul McDonald, Jacob Lusk, Pia Toscano, Naima Adedapo, Lauren Maina, Haley Reinhart, Tia Megia, James Dulbin, Casey Abrams, Stephano Langone and Scotty McCreery.

These are my top three picks for this season James Dulbin, Scotty McCreery and Casey Abrams. Please let me know who your top three picks are for this season. Here is one thing that has been bugging me for awhile and I just want to see what other people think. To me Chris Medina sings a lot better than a couple of the people that the judges did pick. Yes I know people will say that I am saying this because I met him in Milwaukee. No I am not he does have a great voice and can really sing. When I heard him in Milwaukee he blew me away with the way he can sing. Then when I seen him on t.v. I told my boyfriend that I met him. Please leave your thoughts about the show!♥
