Little House T.V. Show What has Happened with the Cast!

Yes I decided to write about what the people of the show have been doing since the show ended. I am not going to be writing about all of them. It will just be about the main people on the show. I will be writing a little about what they have been doing since the end of the show.

This is Michael Landon he played Charles Ingalls in the show. He was the father to Mary, Laura and Carrie.

The other show he is best known for is Bonanza. After Little House on the Prairie he was in Highway to Heaven.

He was married three times and has nine children.

He was also a heavy drinker. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 1991 which also metastasized into his liver and lymph nodes. The doctor said it was terminal. On May 9,1991 he appeared on the Tonight Show to talk about his illness.

Then on July 1,1991 he passed away.

This is Karen Grassle she played Caroline Ingalls. The mother to Mary, Laura and Carrie.

She has been married three times and with second husband they adopted a little girl.

She auditioned for the part of Caroline Ingalls and she won, Michael Landon convinced her to go with her birth name for the show.

She has been in the movies Wyatt Earp and Driving Miss Daisy.

She did a little moving around when the show ended, she was in New Mexico, Kentucky and back to California.

She also has a Facebook page and I am friends with her on it.

  3. Thanks for all the updated information. I still am a huge fan of the show and watch the reruns often. I did not realize that the actors that played Dr. Baker and Rev. Alden had passed away. I also did not know Michael Landon was a heavy drinker. I use to have the biggest crush on him when I was young. This was the best running show ever in my opinion. They don't make shows like that anymore.

  15. Somebody needs to take a remedial English class. And by somebody, I mean the author of this mess of an "article" and most of the commenters.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Oh well, most of it was still interesting. What am-mazes me how many times they were all married, you would think they would figure it out the first time around.

  17. Thanks for an informative update. I enjoyed reading it and "catching up" with the cast of one of my favourite shows from my younger days. You obviously put a lot of effort into writing this piece. Ignore the bitchy comments made at 4:10am on January 9th. It's such a shame when sad people resort to insulting others online. There's a lot to be said for the saying "If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all."

  18. I would like to respond to the article, and to the kindly person who wrote the comment calling the person who pointed out the incorrect grammar or punctuation as "bitchy." An article with good content, but is difficult to read due to eliminating punctuation, has not been proofread. Writing is a craft. Like any craft, it must be honed. When an article is published, however, it ought to have the basics of punctuation and grammar in place. We, as a culture, have gotten very sloppy in this in the past decade or two. I, for one, hope we lift the bar back to where it belongs. To the author of the article I would like to say I enjoyed your content about one of my all-time favorites, and I hope you will keep writing and enjoy it as much as I do. Next time, it may help to think of the content as a gift, and taking the extra time to get the punctuation correct being like beautifully wrapping the gift to then be presented to your readers.

  24. Thank you so very much for all these updates. I watch the show as it comes on in my area four times on weekdays and once or twice on Saturdays. I just wish my channel would play them all. But it is always nice to get to know about the actors we invite into our homes everyday :)
